An Enchridion of Novus Ordo Messes: The "Kitchen Table" Mess

From: Fr. Moderator
Kitchen Table Mess

The Novus Ordo Mess as Dinner:
Bring up Your Plates, and Thou Shalt Be Served

It's six o'clock. You're getting hungry for dinner. "Let's have Mess," you say.

Whatever casual clothes you're wearing, that's fine. Don't bother to shave; the grungy look is okay. Just throw a multi-colored Indian scarf around your neck. Grab your next-door neighbors to this come-as-you-are Mess. They just came home from work and might be hungry too. Throw into a wicker basket some pieces of cookie left over from lunch and set up the table for dinner. Now you're all set up for Mess.

At least one Novus Ordo presbyter in Austria featured in the photo thought so. We know differently though, don't we, folks? This isn't a "Mass"; it's a pure piece of fakery that has no validity to it at all. Even if all 3000 bishops in the world approved this, the Novus Ordinarians would still be worshipping a piece of bread. Ooops, sorry: a piece of cookie. Idolatry is alive and well in the Novus Ordo Church. And it has gotten so bad that even the New Vatican is singing our tune.

We are what you once were.
We believe what you once believed.
We worship as you once worshipped.
If you were right then, we are right now.
If we are wrong now, you were wrong then.

SEEK OUT EXCLUSIVELY THE TRADITIONAL ROMAN CATHOLIC
LATIN MASS, SACRAMENTS, AND FAITH IN YOUR AREA.

Just a few of the Novus Ordo Messes previously documented (far from a complete list):

  1. "Bagel" Mess -- in which bagels are used as the invalid matter of the "sacrament"
  2. "Ballet" Mess -- in which young girls dressed for a ballet dance up the aisles of the church (St. Anthony Daniel Church, Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada, March 10, 2000)
  3. "Basketball" Mess -- in which the presbyter walks around the "altar" and the "sanctuary" bouncing a basketball while giving Mess play by play into a wireless microphone (Long Island, New York, May 2003)
  4. "Beach" Mess -- in which mess is held on the sand of a beach with the congregation dressed (actually partially undressed) in beach and swimwear
  5. "Bikers'" Mess -- in which motorcyclists reclined on their "hogs" dressed in T-shirts and jeans, bandana head coverings, boots, and lots and lots of black leather (Holy Hill, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, August 30, 2003)
  6. "Black" Mess -- in which Satanic principles or forces are invoked
  7. "Candy" Mess -- in which candy is used for "communion"
  8. "Camouflage" Mess -- in which vestments of camouflage material, designed by a Lutheran minister, are used (Iraq, April 2003)
  9. "Clown" Mess -- in which the celebrant is "vested" as a clown and engages in "sacred laughter"
  10. "Coffee" Mess -- in which coffee is used for "communion"
  11. "Cookie" Mess -- in which invalidating ingredients are used (said to characterize the majority of messes held in the United States)
  12. "Dance" Mess -- in which natives dance around the altar, like the one over which John Paul II "presided" in Africa, February 1982 and August 1985
  13. "Dorito" Mess -- in which a "Dorito" corn chip was used as matter at the 2003 Religious Education Congress Hispanic mess at the Cathedral of Los Angeles
  14. "Elvis" Mess -- in which a portrait of Elvis Presley was displayed around the altar (Portugal, 1982)
  15. "Fruit" Mess -- in which fruit is used as the invalid matter of the "sacrament," and Buddhist chant and local pagan practices are also incorporated into the mess (celebrated at a Jesuit college)
  16. "Gay" Mess -- in which the immoral homosexual lifestyle is glorified
  17. "Gym" Mess -- in which "a joyful and creative liturgy designed by and for families with Gospel-centered messages geared toward children," while children crowd around the Novus Ordo table Indian-style (St. Joan of Arc in Minneapolis, July 2003)
  18. "Gingerbread" Mess -- in which the invalid matter is baked in the shape of a gingerbread man, and when communicates tear off a piece of Mr. Gingerbread, the presbyter yells "ouch"
  19. "Girl Scout" Mess -- in which Girl Scout medals are given out, with an all-female cast: Eucharistic ministresses, altar servettes, etc.
  20. "Golf" Mess -- a Sunday mess scheduled on Saturday afternoon and erroneously called "vigil," to allow people to devote Sunday to playing golf and other non-religious activities; also done in an effort to Judaize the Church
  21. "Halloween" Mess -- in which participants came in Halloween costume for the "liturgy" (Christ the King Parish, Pleasant Hill, October 31, 2003)
  22. "Indian Feather" Mess -- in which the Novus Ordo Archbishop of Denver sported Indian feathers and tom-toms (July 2003)
  23. "Jazz" Mess -- in which pagan "jazz" music accompanies the service (Sundays at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, New Orleans, Louisiana)
  24. "Mariachi" Mess -- in which sacred music is replaced by the profane mariachi
  25. "Picnic" Mess -- in which French bread (invalid matter) was used while a priestess performed the mess (San Fernando Cathedral, San Antonio, Texas, April 29, 2003)
  26. "Polka" Mess -- in which sacred music is replaced by polkas, and the polka is danced around the altar
  27. "Pontoon" Mess -- held on a pontoon raft lurching back and forth on a river at a summer camp
  28. "Priestess" Mess -- in which a woman plays the role of a Novus Ordo presbyter and performs the mess
  29. "Pumpkin" Mess -- in which white witchcraft (wicca) is introduced, this time in the form of a giant pumpkin on the altar
  30. "Rock" Mess -- in which a rock band takes the place of a choir and organ
  31. "Seance" Mess -- in which, held at 11:15 p.m., all the lights are dimmed, and candles of various colors and shapes with various non-religious symbols on them are used as the only light
  32. "Servette" Mess -- in which girls take the place of altar boys or men (this mess is quite common in the United States)
  33. "Sponge Bob" Mess: in which an "altar girl," wearing Sponge Bob flip-flops, assisted the Novus Ordo presbyter, who delivered a homily with a Winnie The Pooh puppet. (July 2003)
  34. "Tango" Mess -- in which danceuses cavort to the beat of a steel drum band (St. Monica's Church, Rochester, New York, June 2, 2003)
  35. "Voodoo" Mess: at which witch doctors of voodoo participate, and animist (pagan) practices are included (celebrated monthly in Sao Paolo, Brazil, 2003)
  36. "Womyn" Mess: at which altar servettes, lectresses, gift-bearers, etc., were all adult womyn, vested in Novus Ordo albettes (National Council of Catholic Women, Washington, D.C., October 31, 1999; et al.)

Pope Silent before Religious Persecution

From: Fr. Moderator

It is despicable the way the anti-Catholic bigots have constructed a story about Pope Pius XII, who was most courageous against the Nazis and Communists, as all the Jewish leaders of the time willingly admitted. Moreover, it was due to his personal efforts that Jews in Italy were treated generally well in comparison with those in Germany and elsewhere. Moreover, if he had not taken a strong stance with both the Axis and the Allied forces, Rome would probably be a rubble today.

But that is history of more than half a century ago. What about today? It is all too easy to point a finger at historical figures. The current pope apologizes to dead Martin Luther, to dead King Henry VIII, to dead Mohammed, but what does he do about flesh and blood people of the present day? About his own presbyters and religious, while he is busy kissing the Koran? Well, here it is.

The most malign country on the face of the earth, if it is not the Mohammedan axis, is certainly Red China. We seem to have forgotten that although, perhaps only for a time, the Soviet menace is tamed, Communist China, comprising more than a fifth of the world's population, is a virulent anti-Catholic, even anti-Christian, regime. It delights in persecuting and putting to death, before the eyes of the international press, Catholic and Christian clergy and religious.

It is reported that on October 27, police in Red China swooped on a religious retreat and imprisoned almost a dozen Novus Ordo presbyters. A church in the vicinity was then demolished in further proof of the country's lack of religious freedom. The gathering was not supported by the government-sanctioned "Patriotic Association," the body that oversees all state-approved churches in China. The presbyters were charged with illegal assembly and imprisoned indefinitely.

Scandalously, the voice of the pope is silent, or weak, when it comes to Communist China. He is not alone. Prominent Protestant clergymen, such as Pat Robertson of TV's 700 Club, likewise pander to the Chinese Communists. Apparently, it's a lot easier to condemn Catholics of 1520 than it is to stand up against anti-Catholic terrorists of 2003.

Is Rome Catholic?

From: Fr. Moderator

What most people don't is that the New Vatican agitated, in 1984, to abrogate the status of Catholicism as the state religion of Italy. This action was a natural sequel to the New Vatican's forcing Latin American countries to remove Catholicism from their constitutions as the state religion. In fact, when one country resisted, the New Vatican threatened it with withdrawal of recognition!

According to a BBC report, an Italian court has ordered that a state kindergarten remove crucifixes from its classrooms. Interestingly, the legal complaint was lodged by a Mohammedan. I don't doubt that within a few decades once-Catholic Italy may well be taken over by the Mohammedans, who were miraculously repulsed from Italy during the reign of Pope St. Pius V.

Islamism is taking over many countries in Europe. It has now become the largest religion in the world, surpassing Catholicism. And who is responsible for that? A large share of the blame must lie at the feet of the New Vatican and the current pope, who, unlike his illustrious predecessor who courageously stood up to the Infidels, caves in to the Mohammedans and kisses their blasphemous Koran, meanwhile agitating to remove Catholicism from Italy and personally approving of the construction of the first mosque in Italy. Mohammedans now number only about 2% of the Italian population, but that is likely to increase rapidly. In France, it has risen to almost ten times that percentage.

And what does our Koran-kissing pope say? Nothing. One cardinal felt constrained to speak out, saying, "You cannot remove a symbol of the religious and cultural values of a people just because it can offend someone," but his is one personal voice from among some 190-odd cardinals.

Mel Gibson's Traditional Catholic Film Progresses - Update XXXIII

From: Fr. Moderator
Caviezel and Gibson

Gibson (r.) Directs Caviezel as Christ in The Passion of Christ
Actor Escapes Two Lightening Bolts

Actor James Caviezel, who plays Christ in Mel Gibson's traditional Catholic film The Passion of Christ, was struck by lightning on October 24. Although Caviezel was uninjured, a producer saw smoke coming from the actor's ear. Caviezel had previously been struck on the top of a hill during filming, but was similarly unhurt by the bolt. Cardinals Question Upcoming Papal Elections

From: Fr. Moderator

CN reports that the octoginarian cardinals are finally speaking up about the pope's unconscionable attempt to deprive them of voting in the upcoming conclave. The mind of the Church is that wisdom, maturity, and experience are to be valued. Yet the pope has tried to cut off cardinals over 80 years of age from voting. What's he afraid of? That they will be too "conservative"?

There is no precedent in the history of the Church for such a provision. The post-conciliar popes have mucked with the centuries-long traditions concering the method of electing a pope. So serious and unprecedented are the changes these popes are attempting that some have questioned the legitimacy of any papal election held under them.

This is a dangerous business. At least twice before in the history of the Church, cardinals have refused to accept the results of tainted papal elections. In one case, the result was the Great Western Schism, when for some 40 years there were three claimants to the papal throne, and each of the three was accepted by different sections of the Church. Even the Saints couldn't agree on who the real pope was!

This pope is playing with fire, and the Church may well go up in the Smoke of Satan, as Paul VI called it. Then, again, maybe the Church needs to undergo a cleansing fire to purge it of the New Order that has corrupted it so thoroughly in post-conciliar times.

Plenary Indulgence for All Souls Octave

From: Gerard

Dear Fr. Moderator:

Could you please explain how to obtain a plenary indulgence that may release a soul from Purgatory during the octave of All Souls?

Fr. Moderator Replies.

The faithful are reminded that in her generosity toward the Holy Souls in Purgatory, Holy Mother Church opens wide the possibility for indulgences to be gained for these souls during the period from this Monday through the following Monday. You may apply a plenary indulgence applicable to the Holy Souls under the usual conditions: confession and Communion, and the recitation of six Paters, Aves, and Glorias. This plenary indulgence is applicable toties quoties, that is, it may be performed on the day as often as desired for the Holy Souls.

Also, the faithful who during the period of eight days from All Souls Day visit a cemetery in a spirit of piety and devotion, and pray, even mentally, for the dead, may gain a plenary indulgence under the usual conditions, on each day of the Octave, applicable only to the dead.

An Enchiridion of Novus Ordo Messes: The "Halloween" Mess

From: Fr. Moderator
Halloween Mess Dog

God as Dog in the Novus Ordo
All God's Creatures, Come Costumed to the "Halloween" Mess

Dress like a Devil! Come as Martin Luther! Be an Osama bin Laden doppelganger! "Young and old" are invited to participate in the latest New Order liturgy: the "Halloween" Mess -- a "costumed liturgy" in all its ghoulish splendor. Do your danse macabre on the "table" while you eat the "cookie" and drink of the fruitcake of the vine.

This latest Mess is sponsored, undoubtedly with the local Novus Ordo bishop's "approval," a "conservative" bishop by the way, in a parish church in Northern California. Oh, you Novus Ordinarians, how can you possibly think that the Novus Ordo nonsense is "valid," let alone worship of God? This would merit a belly-laugh if it weren't so sad.

Who Was the First?

From: Jim

Dear Fr. Moderator:

In a recent article, Michael Davies, the conservative writer, states that the "Traditional Movement began in 1964 with the founding of the Una Voce Federation, which is the oldest traditionalist organization either of priests or laymen." What of Fr. Depauw? Also, he says, "The Pope has now celebrated the Traditional Mass and praised the doctrinal richness of its prayers." I thought that this pope had never celebrated one.

Davies goes on to praise what a great job that Una Voce is doing and how wonderful the Hoyos Mass of May 23 was. Can he be this clueless? I mean: that was nothing but a "show" in a failed (thankfully!) effort the SSPX to capitulate to the New Order and celebrate the reign of JPII and Vatican II.

Fr. Moderator Replies.

How quickly they forget! An organization called the Catholic Traditionalist Movement was founded in 1964 by Fr. Gommar DePauw, who left his post as Professor of Canon Law at the U.S.'s premier seminary to found the organization in New York City. His was a national movement. He bought radio ads in most metropolitan areas of the United States, broadcasted the Traditional Latin Mass over them, and published a worldwide periodical, Sounds of Truth and Tradition.

Una Voce didn't achieve any notoriety until the late 1960s, although it may have been founded on a local basis (my recollection from that time is that an occasional mailing went out from California). It was really quite limited in scope. The only thing it ever did was to push the concept of an "Ordinariate" for the Traditional Latin Mass along the lines of the military Ordinariate. This chimaera has still not been accomplished after forty years!

As to Davies' overly sanguine view of Una Voce, perhaps it is colored by the fact that he just ended his term as its president -- a term, I might add, in which no visible progress was made to get the New Vatican to throw over the New Order and restore the traditional Roman Rite as the legitimate rite of the Church.

As to the pope and the Traditional Latin Mass, that is more wishful thinking on Davies' part. There have been a couple of reports that the pope said the "Latin Mass" in his private chapel. Whenever these reports have been followed up, it has been determined that he does say the "Latin Mass," but it is the Novus Ordo Mess dressed up in Latin, not the Traditional Latin Mass.

It is the error of conservative Novus Ordo sectarians to place their trust in written documents. Any astute observer of the New Vatican since Vatican II knows that the New Order uses words essentially as propaganda. The words are deliberately ambiguous (as was Vatican II) so that they can be interpreted either conservatively or liberalistically, so as to please all factions.

The true key to understanding the New Order Church is to look at what it does, not what it says. And the pope has done nothing. He has never said the Traditional Latin Mass himself since his accession. He won't even put any teeth into his own "indult." Novus Ordo bishops get away with impunity when they don't implement it. As for me, I'll believe that this pope is serious about the Roman Catholic Faith when he celebrates a Solemn Papal Mass, on the altar of St. Peter's Basilica, in the traditional Roman Rite, in front of the cardinals, bishops, and news cameras of the world.

The New Order's "Solution" to a Manufactured Shortage

From: Jeremiah

Dear Fr. Moderator:

Some Novus Ordinarian is conducting a national letter-writing campaign asking the Novus Ordo bishops in the United States at their November meeting to begin discussion of optional celibacy for priests. The writer states that mandatory celibacy devalues marriage and women. It ignores "the Holy Spirit's unrestricted call to the ministry." The writer further states that the shortage of priests could possibly be solved by optional celibacy.

On the contrary, I understand there has been an increase in the number of traditional Catholic priests, while the number of Novus Ordo presbyters is sinking to almost nothing. How does celibacy devalue marriage and women? Does this really ignore "the Holy Spirit's unrestricted call to the ministry"? I think that the writer is swept up by "the spirit of Vatican II."

Fr. Moderator Replies.

Worse than that. Remember that Pope Paul VI called Satan the spirit of Vatican II! This Novus Ordinarian is being swept up in the spirit of heresy. None of this is Catholic.

First of all, according to the teaching of the Church, the celibate life is objectively superior to the married state from the perspective sub specie aeternitatis. That is the Christian teaching, not only as given us by St. Paul in the New Testament, but as given by Our Lord Himself, as recorded by St. Matthew. If marriage were held to be objectively an equal state, why didn't Our Lord take a wife? Why did his Apostles not live a married life?

I always wonder about these Novus Ordo sectarians. Why are they so tame? Why do they advocate just "optional" celibacy? Why not mandatory "uncelibacy?" Why stop at just one marriage? If one is good, wouldn't two be better? Let's encourage bigamy. Why stop at heterosexual marriage? Why isn't this Novus Ordinarian encouraging "gay marriage"? After all, we've got to be "modern" in the New Order, don't we? The Scriptures don't apply to our times, do they? We can construct a man-made religion as we go along, can't we?

You see how unCatholic this type of thinking is. If this Novus Ordinarian is so big on destructuring the Catholic Faith, why doesn't he just become an Episcopalian? They're "hip" to all this unCatholic nonsense.

There is no "unrestricted call to the ministry." This Novus Ordinarian is apparently countering the teaching of the Church to advocate pagan-style priestesses, only he is afraid to come right out and say it, since he would publicly run against the pope. Yet he believes it.

Of course, the whole idea of "uncelibacy" solving the "shortage of priests" in the New Order Church is silly. The New Order doesn't want to solve this shortage of its own making. The New Order wants to use the shortage as an excuse to destroy the priesthood. Actually, it has done so already, first by making the traditional priesthood into presbyterate, in which the presbyter merely "presides over the meal," and then by introducing laypeople to perform the once priestly role.

The next stage will be the introduction of an uncelibate clergy, like the Protestants. Actually, this has started already with the "conversion" of certain married Episcopalian ministers into Novus Ordo presbyters. Next will be the introduction of publicly "gay" clergy. Finally will be the introduction of the pagan-style priestesses.

Realistically, anyone can see the consequences of this plan in the mainline Protestant churches. They have presbyters, not priests. They have an uncelibate clergy. They have laypeople in the sanctuary. They are now in the third stage, debating the admission of publicly "gay" clergy. They have jumped the gun by already introducing the pagan-style priestesses and bishopesses. Moreover, these "solutions" haven't helped the Protestant mainliners. Attendance at their churches is sinking just as badly as at Novus Ordo churches.

Mel Gibson's Traditional Catholic Film Progresses - Update XXXI

From: Fr. Moderator
Christ before Caiphas

Christ before Caiphas in Mel Gibson's The Passion of Christ
"Principes autem sacerdotum et omne concilium quaerebant
falsum testimonium contra Iesum ut eum morti traderent"

(Matthew 26:59/V)

According to World Net Daily, Mel Gibson has signed a deal with Newmarket to handle U.S. distribution for his movie in preparation, The Passion of Christ. Release is planned for Ash Wednesday 2004 (February 25).

Although the film remains, on the whole, faithful to its original conception, Gibson has apparently given in to pressure by eliminating the crucial words, "Sanguis eius super nos et super filios nostros" (Matthew 27:25/V) and by using subtitles, which some say are distracting and compromise the integrity of the film, shot, in fidelity to the historical period, in Latin and Aramean.

Is the Breakup of the Novus Ordo Near?

From: Fr. Moderator
Minister Gene Robinson

The Face of Shame
Episcopal "Bishop-Elect" Gene Robinson
Will His Flaming Perversion Schismatize the Anglican Church?
Can the Novus Ordo Church Be Far Behind?

As the "consecration" of the Episcopalian Church's first openly homosexual bishop approaches, it appears to be a serious possibility that American Episcopalian traditionalists may force the Anglican communion to choose between traditional Anglicanism and Liberalism. The show of force by the Episcopalian traditionalists was impressive: 2700 laypeople, 46 bishops, and 800 priests, at a hastily-called meeting in Dallas.

The new Anglican Archbishop of Canterbury, who had previously mouthed a pro-homosexual policy, was shocked into an about-face. He probably couldn't care less about the Bible and Christian doctrine, but he doesn't want his administration to be remembered as the one under which the Anglican Church tore itself apart!

Can the Church of the New Order be far behind? The totalitarianism of the Novus Ordo has for years been hanging on a thread. First, Catholics were so shocked and dumbfounded about the "New Liturgy" that they walked out or retreated into silence. According to a virtually secret U.S. Bishops' study, in the initial years following the imposition of the "New Liturgy," fully one-third, something approaching 20,000,000, of U.S. Catholics just walked out. That number would never have been replaced, except for the legal and illegal immigration from formerly Catholic countries into the United States.

In the 1970s, the Novus Ordo pretty much had its way. Traditional priests and nuns were silenced. Pipe organs were ripped out, and electronic pianos installed. Sanctuaries and tabernacles were gutted. The most vulgar and profane services were introduced, and Catholics were told that they would "go to Hell" if they participated in the Traditional Latin Mass that thousands of popes and Saints had participated in.

In the 1980s, once the initial shock of the "New Liturgy" had worn off, and the lies and treachery used by the Novus Ordo in imposing it were becoming obvious, the Traditional Roman Catholic Movement began to take hold. There was a little side-trip down the "indult" path in 1984 and 1988, when the New Vatican panicked at the staunch traditional Catholicism of Abp. Lefbvre. However, it was soon realized that the "indult" was merely a New Vatican ploy to keep the money and bodies of traditional Catholics in the Novus Ordo churches. The Fraternity of St. Peter (FSSP) and other "indult" organizations were hastily concocted by the New Vatican as an offset to traditional organizations. However, when the New Vatican realized that the "indult" ploy was not working, it pulled the rug from under the FSSP and the other organizations.

In the 1990s, the Traditional Roman Catholic Movement ended its silence and became outspoken against the New Vatican and the New Order. It became too clear to deny that the New Vatican was the villain of the piece. Although it occasionally mouthed platitudes about the "Mass of St. Pius V" to keep the money of traditional Catholics coming into its coffers to support the Novus Ordo apparatus, the New Vatican was meanwhile telling the Jews that they didn't have to accept Christ as the Messias and telling the Mohammedan terrorists that we worship the same Koran.

We are rapidly reaching what the ancient Greeks called the kairos, the critical point. The papacy of the Phenomenologist Pope is drawing to an end. His teetering position between those who want Pagan Priestesses and those who want the Roman Catholic Mass is almost at an end. It is only too clear, in hindsight, that there was a Great Roman Schism in 1964, and that the New Order has put itself on a limb outside of the Apostles, the Fathers and Doctors, the popes and councils. The "New Pentecost" spoken of by Pope John XXIII was shortly recognized by Pope Paul VI as "clouds and storms" and "the smoke of Satan around the altar" (1972). So, the New Order has been exposed as a Charismatic horror, with much of the formerly Catholic youth denying doctrine while swinging and swaying like pagans at papally-sponsored "Catholic Woodstocks."

Is it time for the Novus Ordo Schism to be called what it is and to be cut off the Roman Catholic tree? This is the horror that the New Vatican most fears. That is why it is willing to deal, organizationally, with the Society of St. Pius X -- but only if the SSPX admits the legitimacy of the New Order, the New Mass, the New Sacraments, and the New Theology. All the SSPX needs to do to get the Novus Ordo monkey off its back is to say, clearly and finally, that the New Order and all its accoutrements are not Catholic and are not valid. The halls of the New Vatican would be shaken to their foundations.

In the case of Minister Robinson we may be seeing the short-term future of the New Order. Like the Novus Ordo crazies, he won't back down. "God and I have been about this for quite a while now and I would be really surprised if God were to want me to stop now," he has said. "I think my election is one of several indications that gay and lesbian folk are being brought more into the center of things. I'd like to think that my election signals a bringing of gay and lesbian folk into the center of the church." Whatever "Church" he has in mind, it certainly isn't the Christian Church.

The Novus Ordo sectarians who advocate pagan priestesses, an uncelibate clergy, oecumenical intercommunion with heretics, divorce, destruction of churches, and all the rest will become more outspoken, not less. We see this happening in the Anglican Church. We see this happening in the secular world.

What will happen in the Church of the New Order if a Cardinal Arinze, promoter of Vatican II African-inculturated animal blood-sacrifices, is elected, or if a Cardinal Kaspar, who wants to make the New Order Church an intercommunicated hodge-podge of Catholics, Protestants, Jews, and Muslims, is elected? We may be looking at the Second Great Schism. It's happened before. Who's to say that it won't happen again? Maybe it's the historical kairos to give up the false ghost of unity under the New Order and proclaim the obvious fact that the emperor has no clothes, that a Second Catholic Counter-Reformation is needed.

Just as the traditional Episcopalians are pushing, at least the Roman Catholic Faith would once again be clear. This is what the great Saints of the fourth century did when the Arian heresy hit the Church. They didn't compromise; they didn't negotiate with the heretics. They stood against them, clearly, even if their number included popes and bishops. And these are the great names we remember: Athanasius, Augustine, Basil, Martin. The ones we have forgotten are the discredited popes. Do you remember the names of any?

An Overcrowded College

From: Fr. Moderator
Cardinals

A New Hoard of Cardinals
Proliferating Like Maggots to Infest the New Order Church

It seems that as with so many other institutions the New Order Church has touched, the College of Cardinals has now become a laughing-stock. Since 1587, Pope Sixtus V fixed the number of cardinals at seventy, in imitation of the seventy elders of Moses, and declared null and voided all nominations in excess of this number.

The number seventy was just small enough to make it possible for most of the cardinals to know one another, to work with one another, and to talk with one another personally. Now that this pope, as of October 20, 2003, has glutted the college to 194, there is no way that the cardinals can know one another as brethren. In fact, the college has gotten so large that the cardinals had to wear tags with their names and home dioceses during meetings at the Vatican last week!

Of the 135 voting cardinals, all but five were appointed by this pope. Therefore, he must be full responsibility for the devastation of the Church, as its corrupt New Order leadership was appointed by him and him alone.

In addition to monkeying around with Pope Sixtus' sage provisions for the College, which have lasted for 400 years, JPII has changed essential procedures of the upcoming conclave to elect his successor. These changes are so serious that they may well lead to a reprise of the Great Western Schism (1378-1417), in which at one time there were three claimants to the papal throne, each claimant having the backing of various factions of the College of Cardinals and of the contemporary Saints.

A Scandalous Rush to Judgment

From: Ellis

Dear Fr. Moderator:

On February 14, 1969, in a Novus Ordo massacre, Pope Paul VI purported to "unsaint" St. Christopher and nearly 200 other saints venerated by the Church for the better part of two millennia. The New Order Church claimed that millions of Catholics, hundreds of popes, thousands of bishops, and hundreds of thousands of priests over two millennia had "made a mistake."

Now before our very eyes we see the New Order Church doing the same thing it claims that the Roman Catholic Church did, but the New Order Church doesn't have the ancient validation of the popes, the bishops, the priests, and the faithful. Mother Teresa is making the trip so quickly that some people in Rome have started using terms like "insta-saint." It took the church 500 years to beatify Joan of Arc. Greater names like St. Francis, St. Dominic, and St. Thomas Aquinas took the better part of a century.

Pointed questions are being raised in India -- and not just about the swiftness of her elevation to "blessed." More disturbingly, doubts have begun to surface about the legitimacy of the life-saving "miracle" attributed to her. The doctors who treated the 35-year-old villager from northern India who received the purported "miracle" have begun speaking out in a series of interviews. They say she was cured of viral tuberculosis and an ovarian tumor the usual way -- medically.

Moreover, there is disturbing evidence that the cause of beatification for Mother Theresa was steeped in deception. Numerous negative affidavits were submitted to the investigating commission. They were ignored. Eyewitnesses to her questionable religious statements were prohibited from testifying before the commission. JPII had already done away with the Advocatus Diaboli, the Devil's Advocate, to protect the Church and its faithful from false candidates.

There is even more disturbing evidence that JPII personally participated, wittingly or unwittingly, in the deceit. He lowered all the checks and balances of the process for this rather unimportant candidate. Was she more important than truly great lights of the Church such as St. Francis, St. Dominic, and St. Thomas Aquinas? Hardly. Yet the pope cut all the corners for her and signed onto the "miracle" while much doubt remained. That action has caused grave scandal to the Church now, and probably even more so in the future. As usual, the New Order Church is heading off on another dangerous trip. (Amplified from from a Long Island News article.)

Thank God the Church is protected from a pope's errors in these matters. Nothing about beatification is infallible, and the Church's principal theologian, St. Thomas Aquinas, even gives the Church an out so that canonizations are not infallible. If the pope's decision is based on errors of fact, the canonization is invalid. The Novus Ordo Church admitted this theological principle when it "unsainted" St. Christopher and others, so the Novus Ordinarians can hardly argue for the infallibility of canonizations.

Meanwhile, St. Christopher and the others traditionally remain Saints, are invoked for their assistance, and their medals continue to be used extensively. Mother Theresa, on the other hand, will most likely be relegated to the heap of Vatican II doubts, which will not be resolved until some long time in the future, when the Church is restored to normality.

Pope Calls for More Conversions -- to the God of Ecology!

From: Fr. Moderator

The papal documents that have been issued Vatican II sometimes are just simply inane. On October 16, 2003, the pope issued an Apostolic Exhortation Pastores gregis. I couldn't help but be downright amused at Section 70:

Clearly, what is called for is not simply a physical ecology, concerned with protecting the habitat of the various living beings, but a human ecology, capable of protecting the radical good of life in all its manifestations and of leaving behind for future generations an environment which conforms as closely as possible to the Creator's plan. There is a need for an ecological conversion, to which Bishops themselves can contribute by their teaching about the correct relationship of human beings with nature. Seen in the light of the doctrine of God the Father, the maker of heaven and earth, this relationship is one of "stewardship": human beings are set at the center of creation as stewards of the Creator.

What tripe: "ecological conversion"? Is the pope now playing ecologist after his former attempt at playing penologist with the death penalty? I thought that the pope's job was to convert people to Christ and His Church, not to ecology. Truly the Church of the New Order is hardly even a Christian religion any more. It is falling gradually into paganism. The pope himself has worshipped with pagans in "sacred groves" and participated at Assisi with "naturists." The Church is falling down around his ears: rife with scandals, no vocations, empty pews -- and he wants "ecological conversion"?! This is where the Novus Ordo Seclorum leads.

The Real Consecration of the Human Race

From: Jim

Dear Fr. Moderator:

In preparing for the Feast of Christ the King this Sunday (October 25, 2003) and making the Act of Consecration of the Human Race to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, as ordered by Pope Pius XI, December 11, 1925, I needed to make copies of the Act so all in the chapel could say it together.

I got to looking through a number of sources and was most surprised to find that even booklets with an imprimatur dated in 1943 and a copyright of 1945, but reprinted by "indult" societies after Vatican II, remove the two paragraphs that address the "darkness of Islamism" and the other that speaks of the "once chosen [Jewish] people."

We must always be on guard against the Modernists, even those who appear to be "traditional."

Fr. Moderator Replies.

This ceremony on the great Feast of Our Lord Jesus Christ King, after the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, I can certainly say is one of the most beautiful and inspiring of the liturgical year. Kneeling before the Most Blessed Sacrament exposed, we dedicate the whole human race to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus and chant the Litany of the Sacred Heart.

Those who look for mercy for the world and its unfaithful need look no further than the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, encouraged by a succession of popes for over 500 years, in addition to its founding saints, St. John Eudes and St. Margaret Mary. The daily recitation of this Consecration of the Human Race to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, together with the recitation of the Litany of the Sacred Heart, would make for any traditional Catholic a most efficacious spiritual work of mercy here and now to which he might devote an entire month, year, or lifetime.

Here is the full text, as it was promulgated by Pope Pius XI in his Encyclical Letter Quas primas. This is a truly "oecumenical" Catholic prayer in the traditional sense, calling back, in the beautiful imagery of the mercy of the Most Sacred Heart, the fallen-away, the Mohammedan, and the Jew. The Act carries a plenary indulgence if recited daily with a pious intention for a month, under the usual conditions of receiving the Sacraments of Penance and Holy Eucharist and visiting a church or public oratory.

Some later versions have tampered with the traditional text and have omitted the passage in boldface type below. But how prescient Pope Pius XI was! Could the boldfaced passage be any more relevant than today, when Christendom suffers the predations once again of Mohammedanism and when Novus Ordo prelates tell the Jews that they can look other than to Jesus Christ for their Messias?

Most sweet Jesus, Redeemer of the human race, look down upon us, humbly prostrate before Thy altar. We are Thine and Thine we wish to be; but, to be more surely united with Thee, behold each one of us freely consecrates himself to-day to Thy Most Sacred Heart. Many indeed have never known Thee; many, too, despising Thy precepts, have rejected Thee. Have mercy on them all, most merciful Jesus, and draw them to Thy Sacred Heart.
Be Thou King, O Lord, not only of the faithful who have never forsaken Thee, but also of the prodigal children who have abandoned Thee; grant that they may quickly return to their Father's house, lest they die of wretchedness and hunger. Be Thou King of those who are deceived by erroneous opinions, or whom discord keeps aloof, and call them back to the harbor of truth and unity of faith, so that soon there may be but one flock and one Shepherd.
Be thou King of all those who are still involved in the darkness of idolatry of or Islamism, and refuse not to draw them all into the light and kingdom of God. Turn Thine eyes of mercy toward the children of that race once Thy chosen people. Of old they called down upon themselves the Blood of the Saviour; may It now descend upon them a laver of redemption and of life.
Grant, O Lord, to Thy Church assurance of freedom and immunity from harm; give peace and order to all nations, and make the earth resound from pole to pole with one cry: Praise to the Divine Heart that wrought our salvation; to It be glory and honor forever. R. Amen.

An Enchiridion of Novus Ordo Messes: The "Peanut Butter" Mess

From: Fr. Moderator
Novus Ordo Cookie

Peanut Butter Cookies for "Eucharist"
The Novus Ordo Counterfeit Mess Continues Unabated

The saga of the invalid Cookie in Novus Ordo Messes continues. In an archdiocese in the South of the United States, there it is, set out for the Novus Ordo Mess, as plastered on its web page. A fat (obviously leavened) cookie, with the standard striations that mark the contents as peanut butter. Ummm, yummy. It seems that someone couldn't resist taking a bite out of one before Mess. And to wash the Cookie down, have a nice glass of Gallo, and wipe your mouth off with the chalice veil.

Is this a Roman Catholic Mass? Of course not. Is this valid? Of course not. Of course not. Believe it, folks. The Novus Ordo service is a counterfeit, no better than a Methodist or Presbyterian service -- generally less "reverent," in fact.

But that's all right, you Novus Ordinarians. Fulfil your "Sunday obligation" at a perversion of the true Roman Catholic Mass. Hobnob with the "virtual" Masons and Protestants in the Novus Ordo church. Eat your peanut-butter cookies and drink your wine. You have to "obey" the New Order, right? Old Mephistopheles must be really whipping that tail around in glee.

Just to head off the objections I'm sure to hear from the Novus Ordinarians over this, let me say right up front: personally, I love peanut-butter cookies. I love nuts of all kinds.

"Grossed Out" by Mother Theresa Beatification

From: Gunter (Canada)

Dear Fr. Moderator:

As I watched the news about the ceremony of Mother Theresa's beatification, I became more and more upset with the display of a Volksfest rather than a solemn religious ceremony. The fireworks really emphasized the profanity of the occasion, and the female tribal dancers before JP II moved me to switch off the TV. The devil must have had a ball seeing Roma Aeterna transformed again into a pagan Circus Maximus.

Fr. Moderator Replies.

Since Vatican II, these papal ceremonies, which used to be the most elegant and beautiful on the face of the earth have been turned into cheap farces. I remember the crowds at the Vatican even in the time of Pope John XXIII. When he invoked the Angelus from the papal balcony, the voices from the crowds in the Piazza di San Pietro below would boom out the responses, in perfect Latin. The fervor and devotion on the faces of the people told of their living faith.

Now the crowds hoot and clap, look around, laugh, and snack. They are not there because of religious fervor. They are there like rock crowds, to be part of the "happening." Even this pope has pointed to the fact that at his General Audiences, the people no longer even know the Pater Noster. That, of course, is a specific violation of Vatican II, but we all know that Vatican II is not to be taken literally. It was just an excuse to open the Pandora's box to rampant Modernism again into the Church of the New Order.

SSPX Update XXV

From: Raymond (Australia)
Abp. Marcel Lefebvre

Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre (1905-1991)
"But as long as one is dealing with people who have made this agreement
with the devil and liberal ideas, we cannot have any confidence in them."

Dear Fr. Moderator:

Regarding your words on the SSPX and its dealings with Rome, I thought that you might find the following words of Abp. Lefebvre to be of interest because I think that they express well your own sentiments, not to mention the fact that they should also be the sentiments of all faithful Catholics. In a speech given at Paris, on December 13, 1984, Abp. Lefebvre openly stated:

There can be no rejoining a liberal majority, no rejoining the ecclesiastics who are presently governing the Church and who are liberals. There is no rejoining these people. We cannot do this even if certain concessions are given us on the Mass of St. Pius V [Traditional Latin Mass], or certain satisfactions, certain recognitions, certain incardinations, which could even be offered to you eventually. Let them give us back everything. Let them give up their liberalism. Let them come back to the real truth of the Church, to the faith of the Church, to the basic principles of the Church... Then we shall be in complete agreement.
But as long as one is dealing with people who have made this agreement with the devil and liberal ideas, we cannot have any confidence in them. They will string us along little by little, they will try to catch us in their traps, as long as they have not let go of these false ideas. So, it is not a question of doing whatever one can [with the Novus Ordo apparatus]. Those who would have a tendency to accept that, will end up being recycled.

Fr. Moderator Replies.

Abp. Lefebvre called a spade a spade. Unfortunately, some of his successors, particularly the current SSPX Chief Bishop, depart from the sage practical advice of their founder. The archbishop, after all, was a skilled Vatican prelate. He headed one of the largest missionary congregations and dealt frequently in that capacity with the Vatican curia. He knew exactly what deceitful foxes these people can be.

As the Archbishop rightly pointed out, if one of the SSPX bishops should ever sell out to the Novus Ordo apparatus for purple piping and an "indult," that bishop would end up eventually stripped of his true Catholicism, just as the Campos bishop Rifan has been. That bishop will be forced little by little to give up their Roman Catholicism for more and more accommodations with the New Order until, as Our Lord warned us, "he goeth and taketh with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself: and entering in they dwell there. And the last state of that man becomes worse than the first." (Luke 11:26/DRV)

The Archbishop knew full well that the issue is far wider than some "indult," and surely not "recognition" by the unCatholic New Order apparatus. He learned his lesson too and broke off "negotiations" when he realized that the Novus Ordo was only trying deceitfully to trick him into giving up traditional Roman Catholicism. Those who think that they can "negotiate" with Beezebub had better watch the sting of that tail. It's lethal to one's faith!

The Pope's Dancing Master

From: Fr. Moderator
Card. Piero Marini

Abp. Piero Marini
The Pope's Dancing Master

The "conservative" Novus Ordinarians like to take refuge in the thought that although the Basketball Mess, the Oecumenical Mess, the Beach Mess, and all the rest do occur somewhere, they don't occur in "Rome." These "conservatives" must have blinders on: they occur right the altar of St. Peter, above the Confession of the Holy Popes. The New Order papal apparatus dances literally on the graves of the popes!

In an October 15 interview, the pope's M.C., Archbishop Piero Marini, had the temerity to defend the use of dance in papal Messes abroad and at the Vatican. In line with this "inculturation" mentality, the pope himself, on October 5, "presided over" a beatification Mess in St. Peter's at which Africans danced at the offertory and Indians danced at the consecration! (Catholic News Service)

The "conservative" Novus Ordinarians' typical response: "if the pope only knew about it, he would stop it," is shown up for the laughable naivete it is. The pope sat right there as an approving participant, just as he sat right there as an approving participant while a woman dangled her mamillae in his face while she read the Sacred Scriptures at another papal mess.

The Roman Catholic Church civilizes barbarians. The New Order Church becomes barbaric itself!

Is the Pope Losing His Mind?

From: Fr. Moderator

Has the pope's Parkinson's disease progressed so far that he is no longer compos mentis? If he isn't, then his acts are invalid. We all know this principle of criminal, civil, and ecclesiastical law: if you're not sane, you can be held responsible for your actions. Was Pope Paul VI's mind seriously affected by manic-depression? So Archbishop Fulton Sheen and journalist Jean Guitton, an intimate of the pope's, seem to indicate.

Maybe the whole post-Vatican II papacy is tinged with invalidating madness. It's something to think about seriously. Even supporters of the post-conciliar popes point to their actions as often inconsistent, contradictory, and even irrational.

European Associated Press reports that amid the recent talk of Pope John Paul II stepping down came rumors of not only failing health, but of a failing mind as well. Most recently, he was seen bent over in frustration as he felt on top of his head and realized that he'd misplaced his zucchetto. "I don't remember where I put my zucchetto," he was heard mumbling to himself over and over as he wandered around looking for it. A papal aide found the zucchetto in back of a freezer behind a carton of peach sherbet. "I think maybe he sneaked down to the kitchen to have a snack, and for some reason he put his zucchetto in the freezer," he said. Overjoyed by the return of his zucchetto, he broke down into tears and cried like a baby.

An Enchiridion of Novus Ordo Messes: The "Dorito Mess"

From: Mary
Dorito Mess

Elevating the "Dorito" at the Taj Mahony Cathedral, Los Angeles
2003 Religious Education Congress

Dear Fr. Moderator:

Father, here's another one. Can you believe it? Looks like a Dorito, and this was at the Hispanic Mess at the Taj Mahony. I would almost have to chuckle, if it weren't so pathetic.

At the Taj Mahony Cathedral of Los Angeles, a Novus Ordo presbyter elevates the "Dorito" at the Spanish Mess in conjunction with the 2003 Religious Education Congress.

Fr. Moderator Replies.

And you Novus Ordinarians are skeptical when I call the Novus Ordo service "corny." Aha! Proved you wrong again! The Novus Ordo Protestant-Masonic service doesn't always use a "cookie." Sometimes it uses a "Dorito"! And notice also the plastic (or ceramic) cup instead of the gilt chalice. I guess in the Novus Ordo nothing is vulgar enough for God! If the Novus Ordo wanted "Doritos" so badly, why not go to Safeway?

Even if the Protestant-Masonic Novus Ordo service used the valid Catholic and Apostolic words of consecration (which it doesn't), and even if the presbyter had the right intention (which is probably at this point inferior to that of the Anglican ministers, whom Pope Leo XIII declared invalid), the matter is still corn pone -- and that's not "bread," which is defined by the 2000-year Magisterium of the Church as meaning only wheaten flour and water.

Even the New Vatican had to admit the invalidity of Novus Ordo Messes. The Vatican Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith instructed the U.S. National Council of Catholic Bishops in a decision dated March 15, 1978: "It is particularly important to ensure careful observance of the traditional theological interpretation about making of Eucharistic bread, so that the faithful can be assured that every Eucharist is celebrated with matter that is both valid and licit."

This problem of Novus Ordo Messes invalid because of defect of matter has not corrected. A year later, according to a Letter from the Cardinal Prefect of the Vatican Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith to the President of the [U.S.] National Council of Catholic Bishops, as approved by Pope John Paul II on May 11, 1979, the Congregation found evidence that priests "have mistakenly used an element for the Eucharist other than genuine bread" after the NCCB's own Committee on the Liturgy admitted "abuses in regard to the making of bread for the Holy Eucharist."

To date, these Messes remain invalid. The U.S. bishops have not raised a finger to correct these Non-Masses. The ingredients of the "Eucharistic bread" used in one Michigan diocese in 1998 is clearly not valid wheaten bread at all, but a cinnamon cracker: white flour, brown sugar, salt, baking powder, cinnamon, honey, shortening, and water. The ingredients used in a California diocese constitute a sugar cookie: white flour, whole wheat flower, salt, sugar, baking powder, margarine. Moreover, invalidating grape juice is being used instead of grape wine in many dioceses.

In other words, to peel away the ecclesiastical language, even the New Vatican has confirmed that Novus Ordo Messes being been celebrated in the dioceses of the United States are invalid because of defect of matter.

Charismatics Infiltrate Novus Ordo Church

From: Fr. Moderator
Charismatics

Novus Ordo Charistmatics
Barking Like Dogs, Oinking Like Pigs, and Rolling on the Floor
In the "Spirit of Vatican II"

I bet you never thought you'd see something like this at a Catholic University! Charismaticism is a particularly virulent modern-day mania infecting the New Order Counterfeit Church and has its roots deep in heresy. It just goes to show that heresies get worse and worse over time, once they take hold.

The scene is a "Catholic" university, the University of Steubenville. The photo shows charismatics barking like dogs, oinking like pigs, and rolling on the floor in hysterical "holy laughter." Apparently, these people have been infused with the "spirit of Vatican II."

In the late 17th century, the beginnings of Charismaticism (Pentecostalism) can already be seen as a derivative of the Protestant heresy. Philip Jakob Spener and his disciple, August Hermann Francke, from his vantage point at the new University of Halle, through over 6,000 graduates in Protestant theology, spread the ideas of Pietism throughout Germany. The Pietists specially emphasized emotional feeling rather than reason and cultivated "enthusiasm" in worship. They encouraged Herzensreligion, a religion of the heart founded on an "individual, personal experience" of Christ, much like the modern Protestant Pentecostals, who talk about a "personal experience of Christ," by which they refer to an over-emotionalized, highly personalized attitude that overrides true belief.

The roots of modern-day Charismaticism go back to 1901 when a group of Methodists at a Topeka, Kansas, prayer meeting began "experiencing the spirit." The emotional prayer style soon spread throughout the Assemblies of God, as well as other small Protestant denominations. A typical charismatic prayer meeting includes music, singing or praying in tongues, healing sessions, prophesying, and body prayer.

The phenomenon caught on nationwide among Novus Ordinarians who were searching for new ways of praying during the first flurry of Vatican II changes. The movement names Vatican II as the starting point, crediting a prayer by Pope John XXIII to the Holy Ghost to "renew Thy wonders in our day as by a new Pentecost." The Charismatic Movement in the Novus Ordo in the United States traces its beginnings to a "spirit-filled" graduate student and faculty retreat at Duquesne University in 1967. Protestant Pentecostal prayer forms such as speaking in tongues (glossalalia) and being "baptized in the Holy Ghost" took hold.

Known initially as Catholic Pentecostalism, the movement was renamed to reflect the various spiritual "gifts" (charismata), purportedly given by the Holy Ghost to individuals. The movement is closely associated with the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD, which was perfectly traditional before Vatican II, but afterwards was corrupted), Taize, "oecumenism," Marriage Encounter, the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA), Renew, Focolare, and Cursillo.

This Charismatic Movement is far from true Catholicism. It represents an almost complete abandonment of even nominally Catholic practices, beliefs, and modes of discourse. Charismaticism is based on the erroneous notion that emotional experience always accompanies the conferral of grace, whereas the Catholic doctrine is that the only sensible indication of the conferral of grace is the Sacramental sign itself.

Charismatics see no reason to exclude non-Catholics or even non-Christians from the chance to experience the charismata, the extraordinary manifestations of the Holy Ghost, which helped to spread the Faith during the early Church, but disappeared after the Apostolic Age, when the Church had established itself and had no further use or need of the charismata. Such manifestations had specific purposes, such as to spread the Gospel to hearers of different languages, or to prove the credibility or holiness of an apostolic speaker. In fact, one of the aims of the Charismatic Movement is to unite various Protestant movements with Novus Ordo sectarians under the banner of "signs and wonders."

Although it upsets some people to think so, Charismaticism is intimately connected with the error of "Fatimism," which finds a new basis of faith in private revelations, prophecies, visions, "signs and wonders" (we are not speaking here of balanced private devotion, subordinated to the Deposit of Faith, but rather an extremist approach making private revelations and Protestant Herzensreligion tantamount to the Deposit of Faith). So far does this sometimes go that there are "Charismatic Catholics" who still continue to practice witchcraft and idol worship. All this is, of course, heretical and of Satan, as St. Paul tells us:

And then that wicked one shall be revealed: whom the Lord Jesus shall kill with the spirit of his mouth and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: him Whose coming is according to the working of Satan, in all power and signs and lying wonders: And in all seduction of iniquity to them that perish: because they receive not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. Therefore God shall send them the operation of error, to believe lying (2 Thessalonians 2:8-11/DRV).

Archbishop Dwyer, of Portland, Oregon, in a scathing criticism of the Charismatic Movement, warned as early as 1974:

We regard it bluntly as one of the most dangerous trends in the Church in our time, closely allied in spirit with other disruptive and divisive movements threatening grave harm to unity and damage to countless souls.

One author sums up the error and danger of the Charismatic Movement as:

A blighted tree bearing poisonous fruit, sown by the Devil among Protestants and transplanted into the Catholic Church after Vatican II.... This fruit is truly a seed of destruction. Make no mistake. More than just a fad, the charismatic 'renewal' is a dangerous and heretical movement that is installing itself in the Catholic milieu. First, it attacks the Church's character of exclusive mediator between Our Lord and men, which she possesses by divine mandate. Second, this kind of oecumenical gathering denies the exclusive nature of that mediation by encouraging inter-communion with other confessions. Charismatics should be called what they really are: "chari-schismatics" (John Vennari, Close-ups of the Charismatic Movement).

St. Vincent Ferrer rightly condemns such an attitude as unCatholic and spiritually deadly:

The soul that attaches itself to these false consolations falls into very dangerous errors, for God justly permits the devil to have power to augment in it these kinds of spiritual tastes, to repeat them frequently, and to inspire it with sentiments that are false, dangerous, and full of illusions, but which the misguided soul imagines to be true. Alas! How many souls have been seduced by these deceitful consolations? The majority of raptures and ecstasies, or, to call them by their proper name, frenzies of these forerunners of Antichrist spring from this cause.

Traditional Roman Catholicism has no part with this.

Campos Update V

From: Fr. Moderator

Remember the traditional priests in the Campos diocese of Brazil who held out for more than a decade against the Novus Ordo until they finally caved into "indultism"? The New Vatican desperately needed a P.R. coup and bamboozled these once courageous priests into the Novus Ordo apparatus. We predicted at that time that it wouldn't be long before the Campos priests were fully assimilated into the New Order and lost their traditional Faith.

Well, things are moving along in that direction, as TRADITIO predicted. The new bishop consecrated by the New Order apparatus for the job, has consistently maintained that he is a traditional Catholic. But that is for P.R. purposes of course. He wouldn't want all those donations from deceived traditional Catholics to stop coming in now, would he?

Forget all the propagandized words. What is he in fact doing? Bishop Rifan attended the Novus Ordo Mess celebrated for the 80th anniversary of the diocese. Worse, during the Requiem Mass of Bishop Navarro, the New Vatican's nuncio made a point that everybody had to communicate at this Mess, "as a sign of unity," of course. All eyes turned to poor Bishop Rifan, who yielded to the pressure and further profaned himself with the Novus Ordo cookie. He has not yet concelebrated with the Novus Ordo, but how long will he refrain from doing so with all the signs of acceptance of the Novus Ordo apparatus that he has been giving so far?

The diplomatic cunning of Card. Hoyos was to make the deluded priest signatories feel that he asked no compensation in return for his recognition. In fact, he asked them the ultimate compensation: to turn from their traditional Roman Catholic Faith and embrace the Protestant-Masonic New Order. His aims are to force the abandonment of all public criticism of the New Order (above all, the New Order cannot stand to be criticized by traditional Roman Catholics), to force acceptance as "valid" the Protestant-Masonic Counterfeit Novus Ordo service, and to force acceptance of Vatican II documents as tantamount to dogma (which not even the popes involved tried to maintain).

These goals of Card. Hoyos were certainly not mentioned as such on the paper of the agreement with the traditional priests of Campos, but they were certainly implied by him by such ambiguous statements as: "The new mass is valid, and contains no heresy" and "The Council can be interpreted in the light of Tradition." These statements are cunning and deceitful -- the old carrot and stick approach. And the stick has been used over and over again on indultarians. One wonders when they'll wise up and realize that their back has been broken.

Archbishop Bathersby Attempts Damage Control for Pope

From: Fr. Moderator
Novus Ordo Archbishop Bathersby

Novus Ordo Archbishop John Bathersby, of Brisbane, Australia
Damage Control of Pope John Paul II's "Legacy" Won't Work

It seems that Archbishop John Bathersby, in the Brisbane (Australia) Courier-Mail, is getting a jump on damage control for the pope's "legacy." It is clear to anyone with eyes that the legacy has been one of almost total destruction of the Roman Catholic Church over the 25 years of this papacy by a false "mess," false sacraments, false theology, false oecumenism, and even gross immorality.

Oh, yes, Bathersby and the Novus Ordo sectarians may try to do a Martin Luther by throwing a beautiful white cape over the pile of offal, but the record is the record: gutted presbyters, gutted religious, gutted schools, and gutted seminaries, from a pinnacle in the late 1950s and early 1960s.

No doubt this pope has been a forceful promoter of the New Order. With rare exceptions, he has not been a promoter of the Roman Catholic Faith as it was handed to him by the Magisterium and 260 predecessors.

He has obfuscated the clear theology of the Church, he has participated in sacrilegious New Order services, he has apologized for and demeaned the Roman Catholic Faith and its history. Just as in the 16th century, the Church waited expectantly for a Pope St. Pius V who would restore the true Faith, so we must await a pope who stands unequivocally for the Roman Catholic orthodoxy and orthopraxis, not some New Order counterfeit of it.

This pope has presided over a New Order Church that has lost any sense of justice. It conceals its interior corruption just as the Pharisees did. It poses as a Church of Love, while actually its actions show it to be a Church of Hate. It apologizes improperly and inaccurately for historical events while in its own times it allows the most dreaded immoralities to occur at its very bosom, and the pope raises not a figure of condemnation.

Let us not forget who gave us this corrupt Church. Yes, the very pope mentioned. With the exception of -- what? -- five cardinals and a couple of dozen bishops -- this pope has appointed every single bishop and cardinal currently holding office. It was this pope who appointed every single immoral Novus Ordo bishop involved in what has been called by the bishops' Chief Investigator a "Mafia."

It was this pope who personally participated in sacrileges at Assisi, in synagogues, in Protestant churches -- even in pagan shrines. It was this pope who participated in New Order services where bare-breasted women read the Scriptures and men in loincloths and spears stood on the predella of the sacred altar at St. Peter's Basilica. Does anyone seriously think that St. Paul wouldn't have condemned this pope as more of a scandal to the true Faith of Our Lord Jesus Christ than St. Peter himself, whom he chastised for his Judaizing?

Meanwhile, we wait and we pray. We have much to do penance for, as ultimately it was we Catholic people who allowed all of this to happen. Instead of standing up for our priceless Roman Catholic Faith, as the 11 Million Martyrs did in the early Church, as the English Recusants did in the 16th century, as the Holy Martyrs of North America did in the 18th century, we stood by while our Holy Mass was vulgarized, our beautiful churches were sacked, and our Catholic schools were infiltrated by a Modernism worse than what Pope St. Pius X condemned.

I'm afraid the Church has much more penance to do before we are all truly prepared in hearts, minds, and souls for the next Catholic Counter-Revolution.

"Oecumenical Mess" from the Beginning

From: Fr. Moderator

What is the future of the Novus Ordo? One can tell its ends from its beginnings. It doesn't take a turban and a crystal ball to see it. Many are unaware that by the time the Novus Ordo Missae came out in 1969, the Novus Ordo Mess had already been manufactured. Parts of the beginning and end of Mass were eliminated. A new Offertory was established. Scores of changes throughout the Mess were implemented.

But then, in 1967, the big change occurred -- a change that no pope our council would ever have conceived of: the Apostolic words of consecration were changed and three phony "Eucharistic prayers" were added to the Sacred Roman Canon. (It couldn't be called a canon any longer because canon means standard.)

As early as 1968, something called an "Oecumenical Mess" was celebrated. One was in Athens, Georgia, by the congregations of First Christian Church and St. Joseph's "Catholic" Church. The pastors of the two churches, Dr. Harley E. Patterson and Father M. Jariath Burke, joined in the liturgy of the Mess. Dr. Patterson read the Epistle and delivered the sermon. They joined in the blessing of the congregation at the end of the Mass. Copies of the prayers and responses for the entire oecumenical service were provided for the congregation. Hymns were chosen from the First Christian Church hymnal.

Woe to you, Novus Ordinarians. Your church buildings have now been turned into Masonic meeting halls; your "Mass" has now been turned into a putatively invalid Protestant service; your sacred music, a gem of Catholic civilization, has been transmogrified into a vulgar hootenanny. Now you wouldn't even be identified as Catholics. You are Oecumenicals!

Bless you, traditional Catholics, who just said "No!" to the Counterfeit Church of the New Order. Who stood up to immoral and unCatholic Novus Ordo bishops and said Quis ut Deus?. Just as St. Michael and his angels by so saying shook the very firmament of heaven, so you have shaken the sand on which the New Order is based and injected the fear of God into those who thought that by 1980 the New Order would completely crush the Roman Catholic Church. You certainly proved them wrong!

Novus Ordo Bishop Rivals Attila the Hun

From: Fr. Moderator
Novus Ordo Bishop Ademec

Novus Ordo Bishop Joseph Ademec, of Altoona, Pennsylvania
Destroyer of Churches, Barbarian Bishop Descended from Vatican II
And Satan said to Him: "All these will I give thee, if falling down thou wilt adore me" (Matthew 4:9)

According to the Tribune-Democrat sent, parts of altars removed from St. John the Baptist Novus Ordo church in Northern Cambria, Pennsylvania, some time ago lie in a dumpster. The destruction of beautiful traditional churches has been but one of the devastating results of the post-Vatican II era. High altars, statues, altar rails, and other beautiful ornamentations are believed by the New Barbarians of Vatican II to be "outmoded" in light of the new "reforms."

The deception and manipulation of parishioners by certain "experts" follows a numbingly familiar pattern. Construction teams are called in late at night while people are unsuspecting. It is insisted that the 100-year-old altars were "unnecessary duplications", and a local church that prides itself on "welcoming, compassion, and openness" shuts its ears to the cries of the parishioners as their sacred heritage is destroyed.

Novus Ordo diocesan officials are embroiled in the consolidation of six churches into a new Prince of Peace parish with two churches. "It is desecration, not only of a holy object, but also a desecration of our feelings, because this focus of the practice of our faith has been so cavalierly destroyed despite our objections," said a parishioner.

Even under the New Order, the bishop is charged with protecting the sacred patrimony of the church, its physical heritage. But this altar had not been "updated" since Vatican II, so the bishop, one of the New Order Barbarians, had it demolished.

Some parishioners expressed shock and outrage, but others have been afraid to speak for fear of retribution from church officials. "They're afraid they will be excommunicated or refused for burial in a Catholic cemetery." He said he believed that the other 90 percent of parishioners are unhappy with the renovations and have been afraid to say anything until now.

Now there's the rub. These people will lose their church because they are cowards. 90% of the church is against this renovation. Do these people not know the power they have? If they marshaled their families, friends, and coworkers against this Barbarian Bishop, that bishop would be penniless, powerless, and out on the street. The New Order Church of Hate, which has nothing to do with the Prince of Peace, cannot survive without the tacit "obedience" of its parishioners to its evil.

In the fourth century, 11,000,000 Catholics stood up to the most powerful man on earth, the Roman emperor. This one man had the power of life and death over them, yet they refused to play up to him. Rather than betray their Roman Catholic Church, they went to the arena, there to be torn apart by wild beasts, or they went to be tortured by the cruelest means that the emperor and his minions could conceive. Yet they went willingly because their Roman Catholic Faith meant more to them than the world.

Now we're in the 21st century. These parishioners could easily save their church if they wanted to. They have all the means necessary at their disposal. They have their pocketbooks, they have the First Amendment, they have the local press. They have their very bodies, if necessary, to obstruct the Barbarian Bishop from working his evil. Yet, they're afraid. They're afraid they will be "excommunicated." They're children, living in a fantasy world, giving that picayune Bully Bishop more power than he himself ever dreamed of.

When have you heard of a Novus Ordo bishop excommunicating hundreds of people? The last time a bishop tried to excommunicate six people, even the New Vatican overturned him and criticized him. Anyway, who cares about being buried in a Novus Ordo sect cemetery? A traditional priest can bless a grave in any cemetery for you.

It strikes me that these people have learned nothing from history. They are just like Jews who walked by the millions into concentration camps and lifted nary a finger against their Nazi captors. The same was true of the Russians and their Stalinist overlords. They accepted totalitarianism, and that is exactly why they got.

Often I think that those 11,000,000 Holy Martyrs -- men and women, young and old, white and black and oriental -- must be looking down upon us of the 21st century and shaking their heads. "What is wrong with these people?," they must be saying. "Is their Roman Catholic Faith not important to them?" "God has given them all the means necessary to overthrow their corrupt ecclesiastics, yet they lift not a finger, but complain against God, Who has given them everything they need. Are they cowards? Are they stupid? They must deserve their fate if they are not willing to fight for their Faith."

This bishop acts like a schoolyard bully and should be treated as such. He should be fully resisted in the name of the Roman Catholic Faith. He is not Catholic; he is a perverter of the Faith and a destructive barbarians. He has no more right to "obedience" than a Catholic of Pope St. Leo's time would have felt it necessary to obey Attila the Hun!

Those people should have rescued that altar and used it as the foundation of a new church, a Roman Catholic Church, indepedent if necessary, not a Counterfeit Novus Ordo Sect Church. They should have consigned that bishop to the dumpster where he belongs.

Holy Martyrs, pray for us. Inspire us to follow your example of fighting the enemies of Our Lord Jesus Christ and His one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church.

Thank God for Latin!

From: Fr. Moderator
Novus Ordo Bishop Brown

Novus Ordo Bishop Tod Brown
Spurns the Church's Latin Language as His Diocese Tears Itself Apart Racially

The pandering of the Vatican II Church to the vulgar tongues is now, like so much of Vatican II and its aftermath, dredging up more problems than the Novus Ordinarians can handle. They are left with so much egg on their faces that they could cook an omlet!

The latest brouhaha is occurring in Santa Ana, in Southern California. The Novus Ordo bishop is trying to ram through the destruction of a 1920s-vintage church, which currently serves a primarily Latino population, to build a modernistic church to a modernistic saint for a Vietnamese population. Because of the different tongues wagging, the sides cannot speak to each other, nor are they united in the Roman Catholic Faith and its Latin language. They are balkanized.

The bishop tried to expel the current Spanish-speaking pastor and replace him with a Vietnamese-speaking pastor. But the pastor gave the bishop a raspberry; he won't go for it. "Take me to ecclesiastical court," he is saying, standing on his rights as pastor not to be removed because of the discrimination perpetrated by the bishop because the pastor is of "the wrong race." In the meantime, the Novus Ordo parishioners have virtually stopped contributing to the building project. Sounds just like the Novus Ordo Church, doesn't it? The Church of Hate posing as the Church of Love.

Traditional Catholics should thank God that they have stayed with the mind of the Church, the mind of the Papacy, and the mind of God, Whose Providence saw to the dissemination of the Faith through the Latin language, the last and most perfect of the three Sacred Tongues, to preserve its universal, immutable, and non-vernacular qualities, as Pope John XXIII put it.

By the way, contrary to all the propaganda you hear these days, John XXIII condemned the use of the vernacular and was a solid proponent of its exclusive use in the Roman rite and in the training of priests. If only the Novus Ordinarians had listened, the seminaries would be quite different today. For further information click on NECLATIN: The Necessity of Latin for the Roman Catholic Church from the writings of Roman Catholic Saints, Popes, and Theologians.

Traditional Catholics are truly one in their use of the Sacred Latin for their public, and even private, worship. Traditional Catholics don't have to put up with the nonsense that makes the Novus Ordo Church a Tower of "Babble."

The Last Gospel

From: Cristina (Brazil)

Dear Fr. Moderator:

Why is the Last Gospel read at the end of Mass?

Fr. Moderator Replies.

Just as Psalm 42 now begins Mass and was formerly said by the priest and inferior ministers as part of their preparation for Mass, the Last Gospel now ends Mass and was formerly recited by the priest on his way back from the altar. According to the most traditional rubrics, when the Mass of the Sunday is replaced by certain feasts of Double rank or higher, the Gospel is that of the feast, displacing the Gospel of the Sunday. In that case, the Last Gospel is that of Sunday, not the Prologue of St. John's Gospel, so that the Sunday does not lack being commemorated.

Third Novus Ordo Presbyter Goes Traditional

From: Fr. Moderator

Hasn't TRADITIO consistently counseled faithful Catholics to stay exclusively with the traditional Roman Catholic Faith and be patient for the Novus Ordo worm to turn? And that's just what's been happening in recent months, at an accelerating rate.

First, the utter hypocrisy and moral abyss of the Novus Ordo bishops was exposed. The Novus Ordo bishops, whom we had been calling unCatholic for their desertion of the Roman Catholic Faith for the New Order Mess and Theology, were called by authorities no better than the Mafia for the way they committed spiritual, and sometimes even physical, rape on their brethren, engaging in a conspiracy of silence to do so.

Now the unCatholic perversion of the New Order Mess is getting even to Novus Ordo presbyters. First, Fr. Stephen Zigrang of Houston, then Fr. Clement Procopio of Phoenix, now Fr. Lawrence Smith all left their Novus Ordo masters to celebrate the Traditional Latin Mass exclusively. Fr. Smith wrote to his bishop on September 23 as follows:

I cannot in conscience give support to this woeful state of affairs [of the New Order]. Neither by word nor by silence, not by action nor by inaction will I permit myself to be allied with principles and practices injurious to the faithful and perilous to my own salvation. Degraded worship, false oecumenism, and cooperation with abominations are not part of the patrimony of the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church; none may participate in such outrages against Our Lord. Henceforward, I will seek the Sacraments, dogma, and practice of the Roman Catholic Church in fidelity to her Tradition received from Christ the Lord through His Apostles and handed down in unbroken continuity through the ages.

Pope Reported to Have Stomach Cancer

From: Fr. Moderator
John Paul II

John Paul II At His Meeting with Anglican Archbbishop Williams
Cardinal Reports that Pope "Is Failing Fast"

Gordon Thomas, of Globe-Intel and author of two books on John Paul II, has reported that the pope has inoperable stomach cancer, which recently spread to his colon. He claims that a team of palliative medical specialists is now permanently based in the Papal Apartment in the Apostolic Palace.

They administer drugs to try to ensure that the Pope will live to carry out the three climatic events of his 25-year anniversary on October 16, 2003. At that time he is supposed to rush through the putative canonization of Mother Theresa, whose investigation was conducted so hurriedly that much doubt remains about the validity of her situation, for example, her frequent statement: "I help a Hindu to become a better Hindu, a Muslim to become a better Muslim," not a Catholic. Also at that time he is supposed to conduct the consistory to create 31 new cardinals announced, all of New Order stripe.

Thomas contends that in 1992 John Paul had major surgery to remove a large intestinal tumor, which doctors diagnosed as cancerous. Two weeks ago, there was evidence that the disease had returned. Last Wednesday, October 6, the Vatican announced that John Paul's regular general audience in St Peter's Square was cancelled because the Pope had complained of "intestinal" problems. A colonoscopy was performed. The first indication of the gravity of the situation came shortly afterwards. Two cardinals revealed that the 83-year-old Pope "is failing fast".

On the other hand, an AGI news report said that doctors were considering dialysis for the pope, not because the pope's health has worsened, but to prevent his kidneys from being overloaded by medicine. AGI said that John Paul's health has actually improved since he skipped a weekly general audience September 24 due to an intestinal problem.

The Vatican has issued "denials" of these stories, but the denials are carefully weasel-worded so that either interpretation might be possible. Now, one must remember that in the last days, even years, of a papacy, there is much speculation and much gossip, so one has to weigh such statements carefully. On the other hand, the Vatican often tries to conceal the true nature of a pope's incapacity, just as the White House staffs concealed the incapacity of several U.S. presidents who were serious ill (e.g., Wilson after his stroke, Kennedy for several ailments, Reagan after his shooting). Yet two cardinals (Ratzinger and Barbarin) have uncharacteristically indicated publicly that the pope is "in really bad shape," not able to walk or stand, and that the College of Cardinals is on alert to be able to travel to Rome on little notice.

If recollection serves, Pope Pius XII and Pope John XXIII were debilitated for some time before their deaths. It is possible that the illness of Pius XII in his last years allowed Bugnini to slip in the "modernizing" changes to the rites of Holy Week in 1956 and that the illness of John XXIII in his last years allowed Vatican II to fall into the hands of the Modernists and to go in directions that the pope would not have approved of.

Although traditional Catholics have had very serious problems with what has gone on in this papacy as far as the Faith is concerned, one cannot but have a human sympathy for anyone who is so ill and seems to have courage in fighting it. In that spirit we pray: Respice, quaesumus, Domine, animam famuli tui Ioannis Pauli in infirmitate corporis laborantem, et animam refove quam creasti, ut castigationibus emendatus, continuo se sentiat tua miseratione salvatum. Per Christum Dominum nostrum. [Look down, we beseech Thee, O Lord, upon the soul of Thy servant John Paul, laboring in infirmity of body, and refresh his soul, which Thou has created, that corrected by his afflictions, he may continuously feel himself healed by Thy mercy. Through Christ Our Lord.]

Pope First Kisses Koran; Now Kisses Heretic's Ring

From: Michael

Dear Fr. Moderator:

Pope Kisses Heretic's Ring

JP-II Kissing Heretic Anglican Archbishop's Ring at October 4 Vatican Audience
Rowan Williams Is Known for His Support of the "Gay" Lifestyle

I wanted your readers to be aware of the pope's latest scandal to the Faith. First, he committed the sacrilege of kissing the Mohammedan Koran, which contains so many blasphemies against Our Lord, Our Lady, and the Most Blessed Trinity. Now he has taken the unprecedented step of kissing the ring of the heretic archbishop of Canterbury, a man who promotes the "gay" agenda, priestesses and bishopesses, divorce, and all the rest of the Modernist agenda.

Pope-watchers note that John Paul II kissed the ring of the archbishop of Canterbury during their meeting on Saturday [October 4, 2003]. The ring was a gift from Paul VI to Anglican Archbishop Robert Runcie, and John Paul II's gesture was interpreted by many to be as much a sign of respect for his predecessor as of affection for Dr. Williams. [Zenit]

Well, they interpreted wrongly. Kissing the ring of a prelate indicates subordination to that prelate. The pope, ecclesiastically, was saying that he regards himself as subordinate to the heretic archbishop of Canterbury, the successor of those who under the aegis of English King Henry VIII, Queen Elizabeth, Cromwell, and others, destroyed Catholic churches and butchered Catholic priests.

Pope St. Pius V's reaction was to excommunicate this ilk. JP II is neither so Catholic nor so courageous as his illustrious precedessor. Imagine how St. Thomas More or St. John Fisher would react to Pope Pius V's successor!

Mel Gibson's Traditional Catholic Film Progresses - Update XXXI

From: Fr. Moderator

It seems now that with all the false "anti-Semitic" cries of radical Jews, like ADL's Abraham Foxman, once a baptized Catholic, against Mel Gibson, some Jewish leaders are themselves the possibility of their involvement in deicide!

An October 2003 article (later suppressed because of its embarrassment) posted by Steven Bayme, the American Jewish Committee's National Director of Contemporary Jewish Life of the American Jewish Committee, contends that, given Jewish texts about Jesus from the Talmud, the encyclopedia of Jewish law and tradition considered sacred by Jews, Jews "must face up to the fact that the Talmudic narrative does clearly demonstrate ... fourth century rabbinic willingness to take responsibility for the execution of Jesus."

Steven Bayme goes on to say that "Jewish apologetics that 'we could not have done it' because of Roman sovereignty ring hollow when one examines the Talmudic account." He contends that Jewish interfaith representatives are not being honest in dialogue if they ignore the explicit Talmudic references to Jesus. He wrote that it is also important "that Jews confront their own tradition and ask how Jewish sources treated the Jesus narrative."

Bayme cites a passage from the Talmud, Sanhedrin 43a, which relates the fate of a man called Jesus who is hanged on the eve of the Passover for practicing sorcery and leading the people of Israel astray. When no one comes forward to defend the accused sorcerer during a 40-day reprieve, Jewish authorities put him to death, despite Jesus' "connections with the government." The Talmud cites this incident during a discussion of due process and capital punishment in Jewish law.

But Bayme says that the passage is significant because the Talmudic text "indicates rabbinic willingness to acknowledge, at least in principle, that in a Jewish court and in a Jewish land, a real-life Jesus would indeed have been executed. No effort is made to pin his death upon the Romans. Pointedly, Jews did not argue that crucifixion was a Roman punishment and therefore, no Jewish court could have advocated it." Even today the standard Vilna edition of the Talmud omits any discussion about "Yeshu," Jesus, in Hebrew. The Jesus omissions began to be restored in the last century, Bayme said. And the passages "are now included in most of the new printings of the Talmud."

Traditional Catholics of the World, Unite!

From: Earl

Dear Fr. Moderator:

In view of the challenge currently being posed by the more traditional in the U.S. Episcopalian Church, what actions do you think are appropriate for the clergy and/or laity in the traditional Roman Catholic Church to take, 35-plus years after Vatican II?

Unfortunately, the revelations of Fr. DePauw, Fr. Wathen, P.H. Omlor, and others did not coalesce into a proactive working group dedicated to challenging the New Order sectarians. Today, TRADITIO represents the most active, knowledgeable, and wide-reaching vehicle to carry forth the battle.

Too many traditional Catholics continue to sit around fat, dumb, and frustrated. Certainly we are capable of far greater and more effective overt action. Is it time for the formation of an international core-group consisting of both clergy and laity? I greatly value your guidance and highly respect your judgment. I am painfully aware that many traditional clergy and laity remain deathly afraid to rock the Novus Ordo boat. That has never been my style.

Fr. Moderator Replies.

In my opinion, we are still crossing from the stage of learning to the stage of realization. It took about 25 years, from 1965 to 1990, for all the principles of the New Order Revolution to be identified and learned of. 1990 to date has been a matter of realizing the consequences of this learning. "Mild" methods like the "indult" were tried by some (and condemned by some) in the beginning and failed.

Gradually now, more and more Catholics have come to realize that the New Order apparatus is not the Roman Catholic Church, though it does an effective job of deceiving many that it is. Even the SSPX seemed earlier, to some degree, ready go over, but then there was a strong backlash by the faithful, who saw the hypocrisy of such an act. It is now too obvious that the New Order apparatus is not Roman Catholic, and even some expanded "indult" is (and never has been) a solution.

In our post-modern age, organizations have been the instigators of problems. In our time, it is organizations that have been doing the most immoral things. As you say, look at the Anglican Church, which has used its organization to impose homosexuality, divorce, priestesses, and even bishopesses upon its people. Look at highly-organized bodies such as Microsoft and Enron that have used their organizational "clout" to get away with gross immorality. It is the organized aspect of the New Order apparatus that allows it effectively to inject its poison into the Roman Catholic Church, much like a mosquito, whose little bite can inject deadly Nile Fever, with the host hardly being aware of it.

Therefore, I don't think that another organization is the answer. Practically speaking, it's like trying to get cats to march in a parade. It won't work. The organization is already there: it is the Roman Catholic Church. We just have to strip away the meretricious cosmetics of the New Order to expose the real Church again.

I think, rather, that, as in Apostolic times, small groups, and especially individuals, need to educate their families, friends, neighborhoods, ignorant communications media, etc., to what is the true Roman Catholic Faith. We still have a good way to go in convincing larger numbers of Catholics that the New Order parish, the New Order theology, and the New Order mess are not Roman Catholic. They arise out of what one author has called the New Order Schism of 1965. We need to educate ourselves, to speak out, to deny the New Order any credibility as "Catholic," and to support every traditional outreach we can.

While the critical mass grows, as it has been while the New Order has been sinking, the time will come when, God willing, there will be enough members in Christ's army to throw the Novus Ordo bums out and restore the Roman Catholic Church in Christ, as St. Paul and St. Pius X told us to do.

A Dirty Little Novus Ordo Secret

From: Fr. Moderator
Walter Sullivan

Novus Ordo Bishop Walter Sullivan -- Gone to the Dogs
"Approved" the Transmogrification of Novus Ordinarians into Protestants in His Diocese

A dirty little secret exists in the Novus Ordo diocese of Richmond, Virginia, again proving that the New Order apparatus has always had in mind the transmogrification of the Roman Catholic Faith into the Protestant-Masonic Oecumenical Religion. Moreover, the secret points up the phony basis of the "indult" for the 1962 Mass.

Since 1977, with the "approval" of Novus Ordo Bishop Walter Sullivan, acting with his Protestant colleague Episcopalian Bishop David Rose, set up a joint Episcopalian-Novus Ordo parish and named joint pastors, one Episcopalian, one Novus Ordo. It is notable that this same Sullivan set up an "indult" parish in the diocese. Although indultarians naturally praised this action, its phony underpinnings are clear. Sullivan obviously looks at religion as a Chinese menu: throw in a pinch of "indult," add a dollop of Protestantism, mix up well with New Order and voila! you have the Protestant-Masonic Oecumenical Religion.

The Protestants and Novus Ordinarians were to be equal in every way in the organization of the parish. "This was to preclude the possible impression that one faith group had favor over the other." And what was the vehicle for introducing the Protestant-Masonic Oecumenical Religion? Why, the "liturgy," of course.

A Liturgy Committee was set up that "met and spent hours planning liturgy for seasons or feasts. Readings were reviewed, themes developed, and music selected." A hallmark of these "liturgies" was an elaborate "sign of peace," condemned even by the New Vatican. A polite handshake or nod was not deemed enough. The Episcopalians and Novus Ordinarians had to get out of their seats and wander around the church, schmoozing like glad-handing politicians. One child, having learned well the Protestant-Masonic Oecumenical Religion, poked his mother and said: "Let's go get somebody!"

When the issue of a name for the parish came up, "Corpus Christi" was suggested (by an Episcopalian!), only to be rejected out of hand by the Novus Ordinarians as "Latin and too Catholic." Eventually, the parish was relocated to a church building that was to be shared by Episcopalians, Presbyterians, and the United Church of Christ, where "sacraments" are now jointly conferred, as an oecumenical baptism service and the ordination of a married Episcopalian "priest." One parishioner was quoted as saying: "I hope there will be a time when we are not Roman Catholics..., but Oecumenical Catholics." Could the future of the Novus Ordo be any clearer?

In 1991, Novus Ordo Bishop Sullivan "approved" a new type of congregation, not a "Catholic" parish, but an "Oecumenical Community." The transmogrification of the Novus Ordinarians was now complete. They had become Protestants, all with the "approval" of the "Catholic" bishop.

So, next time some Novus Ordo sectarian tells you that the Novus Ordo diocesan bishop doesn't "approve" of your (traditional) Roman Catholicism, throw back at them the dirty little secret of this Novus Ordo Bishop Sullivan, who "approved" and encouraged the transmogrification of Novus Ordinarians into Protestants.

Traditional Episcopalians Stand Firm

From: Fr. Moderator
Episopalians Convene

2700 Traditional Episcopalians, 46 Episcopalian Bishops, 800 Episcopalian Priests
Meet to Plan Taking Back Their Church from the Liberalists

Have the Episcopalians taken their lead from the New Order disaster in the Catholic Church? It appears that they are doing what traditional Catholics didn't have the guts to do -- stand up and apart for their faith against heresy and perversion.

In the face of the Episcopalian convention's recent decision to deny the Natural Law and fundamental moral principles of the Scriptures, traditional Episcopalians are meeting in force in Dallas, Texas, to contemplate splitting from the liberalist Episcopalian synod and form a traditional Episcopalian synod that respects Christian morality.

The traditional conference, originally called a "splinter group," is hardly that any longer. 2,700 are attending the traditional conference, including 46 Episcopalian bishops, and 800 Episcopalian priests, with hopes of "taking back the church" from the liberalist Episcopalians, who have opted for an "an anything-goes brand of religion."

The "Reverend" Susan Russell, President of Integrity, a caucus for 2,500 Episcopalians who support so-called "gay and lesbian" rights in the Church, said that the meeting "represents a tiny but vocal minority." Apparently, the priestess flunked arithmetic. When I was in grammar school, 2700 was larger than 2500. I guess the Episcopalians have clergy that is just as silly as what might be found among the Novus Ordo.

One cannot help but admire the gumption of these traditional Episcopalians, who are fighting so hard for what, objectively, isn't even the Real Thing. On the other hand, Catholics, who are supposed to have the Real Thing, blithely give it up in the name of "obedience" to a Novus Ordo sect and clergy that have gone over the edge to become slaves of a Protestant-Masonic Oecumenical Religion.

If only Catholics back in 1965-1969, when the phony New Order was being imposed on them by a Masonic archbishop, Hannibal "Bugsy" Bugnini, had done then same, the New Order would have been gutted, and the true Mass and Sacraments preserved for the whole Catholic Church. Unfortunately, we Catholics lacked the guts of the Episcopalians, and we are now paying the price for it. We have nobody to blame but ourselves.

An Enchiridion of Novus Ordo Messes: The "Beach" Mess

The Novus Ordo parishes of Martha's Vineyard congregated for their "Beach Mess." Dress is, of course, informal. If you get bored with the Mess, just turn your back on the whole thing and read a magazine, as the woman in the foreground above is doing. If it gets too hot, men, just take off your shirt, as the man in the background has done. Surely the Great God of the Novus Ordo Cookie won't mind.

Beach Mess Presbyter

Presbyter Preparing to Celebrate the "Beach Mess"

A necessary component for a Novus Ordo Mess is a presbyter to administer the Novus Ordo cookie. Above is the presbyter of the "Beach Mess" doing his pre-Mess meditation before the offering of the cookie.

Beach Mess Bishop

Novus Ordo Bishop Who Approved the "Beach Mess"

Oops! How could I have forgotten? "Approval" is needed for the Mess. And what better person for this task than the diocesan bishop above, who seems to be getting quite a laugh out of the whole affair. "Why should we take the Mess seriously?," his expression seems to say.

TRADITIO will undoubtedly get a few messages from the Novus Ordo sectarians trying to prove that a cookie is bread, trying to prove that the Masonic-Protestant Mess is a Roman Catholic Mass, trying to prove that a Novus Ordo Mess will satisfy their obligation to worship their Creator in the proper manner, trying to prove that a Novus Ordo presbyter is a priest, trying to prove that a Novus Ordo bishop is a Roman Catholic bishop.

Don't bother. The pictures say it all!

"Papabile" Arinze?

From: Fr. Moderator
Card. Arinze

Francis Cardinal Arinze
Can't Understand Why Anyone Would Want the Traditional Latin Mass

TRADITIO has received several questions about a certain African Cardinal named Arinze, who is being pushed in some circles as a papabile. Undoubtedly, with John Paul II's continuing deterioriation, you TRADITIO readers will not be able to avoid rank speculations in the secular press about the identity of the next pope.

Here is a general warning. They know nothing. There was a time when there was a religion beat, and news writers were able to analyze religious news. That was several decades ago. The current writers haven't the foggiest idea what Catholicism is. They massage propaganda handouts or speculate without basis. (Remember the fiasco a few months ago about the totally unfounded story on the "universal indult"?)

As far as Arinze is concerned, we reprint the following TRADITIO Commentary from July 25.

On July 18, in Louisville, Kentucky, Francis Cardinal Arinze spoke on devotion to the "Eucharist" and addressed some of the abuses that occur at Novus Ordo services. This is the same Arinze that a year or so ago laughed along with the audience at a radio talk-show over the Catholic dogma that there is no salvation outside the Catholic Church. He should laugh because he is of the New Order sect. He should not be taken seriously by true Catholics.

At any rate, when it came to talk of the "1962 Missal," he spoke of those who wanted to see a return to that Mass (let alone a really traditional Mass using the pre-1956 Missal). What I found interesting is what he went on to say. He implied that the New Vatican bureaucrats are receiving more and more requests for the Traditional Latin Mass, but they are puzzled why people are requesting the true Mass. Aren't we in what the pope laughably calls the New Pentecost of the Vatican II? Arinze said that he thought people are requesting the Traditional Latin Mass because of abuses at the Novus Ordo services. When the New Vatican stops these abuses, the cardinal expects that there will no longer be many requests for the Traditional Latin Mass.

I don't think that the New Vatican bureaucrats understand the problem with the Novus Ordo service at all, which, as one priest said, was conceived by evil men, with an evil intent, to accomplish an evil purpose. They seem to think that that the Novus Ordo Mess is good, but just being abused.

The New Vatican, which is substantially populated by the New Order sect, is clueless. It is as if it were trying to force the New Coke on everyone by a multi-billion-dollar ad campaign, when most people really want the Classic Coke. Since they have been deceived by their own advertising, they can't understand why anyone would want the Classic Coke. They are then shocked when New Coke has to be pulled, and Classic Coke restored!

Arinze, after all, is in the forefront of New Order Modernism. He is President of the New Vatican's Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue. He is also frequently named as a papabile (a possible pope), so watch out!

The Example of Job

From: Andrew

Dear Fr. Moderator:

How can God have allowed things to get so bad? It seems as if we are losing the battle, with just a few traditional Catholics hanging on to the Faith. The new-pagan society surrounds us, and the attacks on the true Faith come from every angle, including from inside the New Vatican. Please shed some positive light if you can. I am having trouble finding the answers.

Fr. Moderator Replies.

Read chapter 1 of the Book of Job in the Old Testament. When Job suffered what appeared to be unjust evils, he said the famous words: "The Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away: as it hath pleased the Lord, so is it done: blessed be the name of the Lord (Job 1:21/DRV). Further, "In all these things Job sinned not by his lips, nor spoke he any foolish thing against God" (Job 1:22).

Our Faith is nothing without its being tested. When we find ourselves grumbling and complaining, then we know that we are not truly united with God, but thinking of our own human convenience. If this Modernistic age should ever pass the test of holding to the true Roman Catholic Faith, then we shall merit what the Lord once gave us.

Why is the Traditional Latin Mass not celebrated in most churches? Because we have not loved it enough; we have not fought for it enough. If we don't love and fight for what God has given us, we may well lose it. That is not God's fault; it is ours. As God in time brought the Jews out of Babylon, so pray that He will deliver us from our chastisement, when we have learned to love and to fight for the things of God, as we ought.

Do Traditional Catholics Have a Fire in Their Belly?

From: Fr. Moderator

I hear a lot of whining these days from traditional Catholics. When will God fix the Church? When will God give us a real pope? How long will God make us suffer the New Order?

In the 19th century, English Catholics were similarly whining about why England was not converted to Catholicism. After all, the Act of Toleration was in force; Catholics could proselytize again. Why wasn't England being converted? Fr. Frederick Faber, Superior of the London Oratory, had the answer:

You wonder why we have not converted England? Verily we do not look like a people who have come to kindle a fire upon the earth, nor to be pining because it is not kindled.

Three centuries before, most English Catholics certainly had lacked the will to kindle a fire upon the earth. Except for the Devonshire-Cornwall Revolt of 1547, in which 4,000 men died for the Traditional Latin Mass at the hands of the Protestant army, having taken up arms to fight the English pseudo-Mass with the cry: "We will haue the masse in Latten, as was before."

Where did the English Catholics go wrong and how can we learn from their experience? "The vast bulk of the nation were untouched by any marked desire to revolt from the old faith, but it is equally true to affirm that they were not moved by any great desire to defend it" (Msgr. Philip Hughes, The Reformation in England). They eventually wimped out, surrendered to the "authorities," lost contact with the true Mass, and attended the phony English services instead.

They lost the true Mass because they didn't fight for it. They got what they deserved. They looked for someone else to solve the problem. Meanwhile, they attended the heretic English service, just as today, we have many "conservative," even "traditional?" Catholics who at least occasionally attend the Protestant-Masonic pseudo-Mass of the New Order, even daring to justify such an abomination as "valid."

The moral of this historical lesson to contemporary Catholics is: if you don't fight for the Mass, it will be taken away from you, just as God took away from the Hebrews for centuries their Temple sacrifice because they were faithless to God. This means that true Catholics must fight for their Roman Catholic Mass, never compromise it.

If our fight must be against faithless popes and bishops, so be it. It wouldn't be the first time, and we in doing so are in the good company of the likes of St. Paul, St. Augustine, St. Basil the Great, St. Athanasius, St. Martin of Tours, St. Thomas Aquinas, and many other great Saints who stood up the popes and bishops of their times, not hesitating to call them the "murderers of souls" and "heretics" that they were.

Novus Ordo "Church of Love" Persecutes Again

From: Fr. Moderator

It seems that the Novus Ordo sect likes Latinos only when they are Modernist, just as the political secularists like Blacks only when they are liberal.

The Novus Ordo archdiocese of Atlanta is persecuting a described as traditional Catholic and composed of Latinos because it claims to be "Roman Catholic," but not is affiliated with the archdiocese. Of course, you and I know that the archdiocese of Atlanta can hardly call itself "Roman Catholic." It is neither "Roman" nor "Catholic," if the traditional doctrine of the Church is to be believed. By the same token, the counterfeit "service" it shovels out is certainly not a Roman Catholic Mass, but a Masonic-Protestant Mess, as has been documented here over and over again.

Yet, as usual, the Church of Hate, that is, the Novus Ordo Counterfeit Church, wants no one to compete for the collection plate. After all, the Novus Ordo Counterfeit Church has fallen to the status of a Mafia, as charged by the Chief Investigator of the U.S. Conference of "Catholic" Bishops. Inside information indicates that the New Order collection plate is way down since the Novus Ordo bishops and presbyters have been caught with their cassocks down (you know what I mean). Moreover, it is becoming clearer and clearer that the New Order Counterfeit Church is simply a product of the "sexual revolution" of the 1960s (remember that Vatican II itself was a child of the 1960s, having ended in 1965), and exudes the immoral pus of that period.

The New Ordo Archdiocese of Atlanta knows full well that under U.S. law, anyone can call himself "Catholic," even "Roman Catholic." Thank God, at least for now, the First Amendment survives to that degree in the United States. This same Novus Ordo archdiocese has in the past tried to prevent anyone but its own minions from being listed in the telephone book as "Catholic." Its attorney tried to threaten the traditional group that had entered a listing. But David slew Goliath. The telephone company said that the archdiocese had no authority to determine who was "Catholic." In effect, the archdiocesan lawyer was told to go to that fiery, dark place below.

The New Order Counterfeit Church has groups of married presbyters, witches, warlocks, perverts, and all the rest claiming to be "Catholic," and the bishops never sue those groups! No, these Novus Ordo bishops aren't afraid of kooks, but they are deathly afraid that traditional Catholics will take back the Church again. That is why they are so hateful toward traditional Catholics, whereas they tolerate every perversion of the Faith if it is liberalist. They think that they can control or co-opt the liberalists, but they know that traditional Catholics will laugh in their faces and call them the frauds that they are.

In every case I know of where traditional Catholics have stood up to the hateful antics of these New Order bishops, they have won. The problem is that all too often we traditional Catholics fail to realize how many numbers and how much power we have. We cower cravenly before the Novus Ordo Goliath when we should be defending the Faith courageously and slaying that Goliath of the unCatholic New Order.

But, while Our Lord terms such Pharisee bishops "snakes," "hypocrites," and "filth," He does warn us, his children, to be prudent. Therefore, to avoid any confusion, traditional Catholic sites should proudly include in their bulletin, for legal purposes, the statement: "Not affiliated with the Diocese of [N.], Inc., or any other entity."

Why would anyone want to be affiliated with that ilk anyway?

Great Sacrilege Author Seriously Ill

Annibale Bugnini

Hannibal "Bugsy" Bugnini (1912-1982)
Freemason Chief Architect of the Novus Ordo Mess
With the Assistance of Six Protestant Ministers

Several TRADITIO field correspondents have been alerted us that Fr. James Wathen, 71, the traditional priest who authored The Great Sacrilege, among the first to expose the Novus Ordo for the unCatholic illegal fraud that it is, has lymphatic cancer and will be undergoing six weeks of treatment. Whereas the "conservative" Novus Ordo periodicals idolize such late reverts as Fr. Zigrang of Houston, who for decades pandered to the New Order, Fr. Wathen was there when it counted: at the beginning.

When the New Order service, fabricated by a Freemasonic archbishop, Hannibal "Bugsy" Bugnini, and six Protestant ministers, was illegally and invalidly rolled out in 1970, it was Fr. Wathen who wrote this devastating book, which for all time destroyed any argument that the New Order service was Catholic, Apostolic, legal, or valid. Those "conservatives" who still cling to the New Order service and can't bring themselves to denounce it as the unCatholic fraud that it is should read Fr. Wathen's book. It is as relevant today, and even more so, as it was in 1971. Respice, quaesumus, Domine, animam famuli tui Iacobi.

Gubernatorial Candidate Schwarzenegger Comes from Traditional Background

California gubernatorial candidate Arnold Schwarzenegger on a syndicated television show revealed that he was raised as a devout Catholic who went to Mass three or four times a week. "[My mother] took us to church every Sunday. And then during holydays like Christmas and Easter, we went sometimes three or four days in a row to church, and sometimes Midnight Mass and all of those things." He said that he went to Catholic school where he was taught the catechism, read the Bible, and learned prayers. "I got a religious upbringing there. I'm a spiritual person. I pray, and I, you know, I communicate with God." Schwarzenegger was born on July 30, 1947. Therefore, he was 23 before the Novus Ordo was invented. (NewsMax)

What Novus Ordo Presbyters Are Reading

When Novus Ordo presbyters were asked, "Other than the Bible, what three authors do you read most often in your work as a pastor?," among the top ten authors whom the presbyters named were three clergy know for their adherence to the heresy of Modernism (Brown, McBrien, Rahner) and one Charismatic (Hahn). What about Other Marian Devotions?

From: John

Dear Fr. Moderator:

Everybody knows about the Rosary, but aren't there more ancient Marian devotions that Catholics are overlooking?

Fr. Moderator Replies.

Certainly there are, and it is particularly appropriate on this day to review some of them.

The Angelus surely is first on this list. This is one of the best of traditional Catholic prayers, unquestionably more ancient than the Rosary. Where I celebrate Mass, we continue the tradition of the public Angelus. In it, we commemorate the Blessed Virgin Mary's role in the Incarnation, but the conclusory prayer is appropriately Christ-centered:

Gratiam tuam, quaesumus, Domine, mentibus nostris infunde, ut qui, Angelo nuntiante, Christi filii tui incarnationem cognovimus, per passionem eius et crucem ad resurrectionis gloriam perducamur. Per Christum Dominum nostrum.
Pour out, we beseech Thee, O Lord, Thy grace upon our minds, that we, who, the Angel announcing it, recognize the Incarnation of Christ, Thy Son, may be led, through His Passion and His Cross to the glory of the Resurrection. Through Christ our Lord.

This is truly Catholic; this is truly Christ-centered, with the role of the Blessed Virgin Mary properly supporting, but subordinate to, that of her divine Son. It is a devotion I strongly recommend to all Catholics once in the morning, once at midday, and once at evening, as has been traditional. At one time church bells would ring at these times to remind the faithful, wherever they were, to kneel and say the Angelus. Unfortunately, there are few church bells around, and, sadder still, few Catholics who even know of this traditional prayer. I daresay that many who are devoted to the Rosary are not even aware of this more ancient devotion. It requires no special apparatus and can easily be memorized in a short period of time. There are also provisions for saying it as a paraliturgical devotion, led by a priest in the sanctuary.

One of my particular favorite Marian devotions is the Litaniae Lauretanae, the Litany of Loretto. This is one of the five litanies of the Church approved for public use. It invokes Our Lady with some of the most beautiful appellations denoting her unique role. It has been set to chant, so that it may be even more suitably chanted as a paraliturgical devotion, led by a priest in the sanctuary. This devotion has been so inspirational that the greatest composers have set it to music, the most notable setting being that of Mozart.

Then, of course, there is the Officium Parvum Beatae Mariae Virginis, or Little Office of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This Office, which developed out of Marian devotion, is very similar to the Common of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the full Divine Office. For those looking for a more varied Marian devotion than the Rosary, the Little Office offers a beautiful collection of psalms, canticles, hymns, antiphons, versicles, and prayers.

A Rose by Any Other Name

From: Connie

Dear Fr. Moderator:

I have often read on TRADITIO that the EWTN cable network is charismatic. While I agree that Franciscan University at Steubenville, which is associated with EWTN, is charismatic, the televised service looks "reverent." Thank you for any comments you may wish to make.

Fr. Moderator Replies.

No matter how the externals are "prettied up" to deceive the faithful, the core of the Mass and everything else there remains New Order. Arsenic is just as deadly with a sugar coating. The Holy Martyrs of the Church set us the example: they accepted no compromise in the Faith. It would have been easy to put just a pinch of incense in the thurible to worship the emperor. Those true Catholics died rather than commit sacrilege. Novus Ordo sectarians today would find some "new theology" to excuse themselves from such sacrilege, just as they excuse their scandalous presence at an unCatholic Counterfeit Mess.

Moreover, I have monitored that station since its inception. There is no question that in over a decade of broadcasting, it has gotten more and more New Order, as has Mother Angelica. Take as one example Scott Hahn, a (once) Protestant extremist who called the pope the Whore of Babylon and who is now furiously hostile to the traditional Roman Catholic Faith and a rapid apostle of the New Order. (Since the New Order was generated from Protestantism, why doesn't this surprise me?) You would never have seen these open Charismatics on the station in the beginning; now they are rife. That is how the New Order works. It is insidious. It is to be entirely avoided to avoid peril to one's Faith.

The "Holocaust" of Vatican II

From: Raul

Dear Fr. Moderator:

I left the Catholic faith in 1965 amidst the beginnings of the Vatican II debacle. In 1970 I finished a program that allowed me to become a member of the Jewish religion in good standing with the Israeli Rabbinate. Now I am back where I belong: in the Traditional Catholic Movement -- and have been since 1996.

In reading the articles on TRADITIO over the past years, I have been amazed at how many Catholics cannot see the writing on the wall concerning the Modernists and human secularists within the bureaucracy of the Novus Ordo Counterfeit Church. I finally put my finger on the crux of the matter just recently.

During my years in Judaism, I read countless books on the so-called holocaust. I was amazed at how many Jews, even up to the doors of the gas chambers and crematoria continued to believe that their "beloved" Germany would never exterminate them and that the bad times would soon pass. As with the Old Testament precursors of Christ and His Church, I began to formulate a thought that the "holocaust" was in a limited sense a precursor for the real holocaust of Vatican II. The former killed men in their bodies, both Jew and gentile alike, but the latter is killing exponentially so many more souls than were killed in bodies in the 1930s and 1940s. What is ironic is that again Jews and gentiles alike are being slaughtered in the soul through the complete dismantling of the concept of the missionary work of the Church Militant.

I swore while I was a practicing Jew that I would never allow my family to suffer by going along with the sheep, should the "holocaust" ever repeat itself. Well now as a Hebrew/Catholic (although an apostate, the Jews still consider me a Jew), I will not go quietly into the spiritual crematorium of the Novus Ordo or any of its false teachings. I do not mean to be overly melodramatic with this concept, but I do find it too close a fit to overlook it completely.

Another Novus Ordo Presbyter Goes Traditional

From: Fr. Moderator

Fr. Clement Procopio, O.F.M., has defied his Novus Ordo bishop in celebrating the Traditional Latin Mass. After Novus Ordo bishop Thomas O'Brien, of Phoenix, who permits no "indult" Masses in his diocese, called Fr. Procopio the "S" word, Fr. Procopio courageously replied to O'Brien in a letter of January 31, 2003:

You should not be saddened by my return to Tradition; on the contrary, that should be a matter for rejoicing. What you should be saddened by, however, as all of us should be, is what has happened to the Catholic Church since Vatican II. That revolution is what brought about changes in doctrine, such as, false ecumenism of a Cosmic Christ that doesn't exist, universal salvation in which all are automatically saved, distorted notions of religious liberty that eliminated Christ as King of the Universe; changes in morals such as immoral sex education in the Catholic schools, the defense of homosexuality, a sin that cries to Heaven for vengeance, that has resulted in the glaring scandals in the priesthood and in the hierarchy; changes in the liturgy, like substituting the Mass of All Ages, instituted by Christ, with a Masonic Protestantized Novus Ordo Mass, that was concocted precisely with the intention of destroying the True Mass and the whole Catholic Church, by lending itself to all kinds of abuses, sacrileges and circuses at the altar, resulting in disastrous effects, such as the loss of many vocations, the loss of faith, the loss of discipline, etc. etc.
These false teachings and practices, my dear Bishop, are what has led the faithful astray and divided the Catholics, NOT the celebration of the Tridentine Mass, the Mass that was codified by Pope St. Pius V at the close of the Infallible Council of Trent in 1570, and given in perpetuity as the Mass to be said for all times and in all places, publicly and privately, in the Latin Church.
I, for one, am neither divisive nor schismatic. On the contrary, I am trying to pick up the pieces in the devastated vineyard, and putting the faithful back on track. It was the Judases in the Church itself that let in "The Smoke of Satan" that brought about the auto-destruction of the Catholic Church. We are living in the era of "the blind leading the blind, and both shall fall into the pit."
I in my conscience cannot accede to your demand to stop saying the Traditional Latin Mass. There is no power on this earth that is going to take that right away from me.

And what was the outcome of this confrontation? A few months later, O'Brien was indicted for murdering a man in a hit-and-run incident and did not even stop to give him the Last Rites. He concealed his involvement and was jailed. Although the reports were that the pope wanted him to stay on nonetheless, the outrage of local Novus Ordinarians brought about his dismissal. Fr. Procopio is now happily serving with the SSPX.

Novus Ordo Archbishop Turns Jewish

From: Fr. Moderator
Novus Ordo Bishop Lights Menorah

Novus Ordo Archbishop Alfred Hughes
Desecrates Chapel of Our Lady

All you Marian folks are going to love this latest one from the Novus Ordo sectarians. Archbishop Alfred Hughes of New Orleans desecrated the Chapel of Notre Dame by placing on the Novus Ordo "table" a Jewish menorah, which he personally lighted. Remember when the pope kissed the Mohammedan Koran? Now his Novus Ordo minions follow his example.

Actually, Hughes lighted only three candles. Three others were already lit -- in the supposedly Catholic sanctuary (of course it's not) -- by Rabbi Edward Paul Cohen, of New Orleans' Temple Sinai, Rabbi Jack Bemporad, Director of the center presenting the menorah, and Baltimore Cardinal William Keeler, Moderator of Catholic-Jewish Relations for the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops. Hughes lit this "lame" menorah (lame, since a true menorah has seven candles) while he turned his back to the altar of the true Lord on the traditional altar, just as he has turned his back on the Roman Catholic Faith to worship the New Order.

Hughes, in a contemporary article entitled "A New Moment for Catholics in America," makes the statement: "We do not ask or want our country to become Catholic." I think that the archbishop must already have apostatized from the Catholic Faith (if he ever really had it) to Judaism. I reckon that he is not the first, nor will he be the last. Novus Ordo sectarians should not be surprised if, next time they go to their "Mess," they see a Jewish ceremony instead!

Each of Us Is on His Own

From: Jerry

Dear Fr. Moderator:

I came back to Tradition in 1986, thanks to the grace and mercy of God. I remembered one innovation after another replacing Catholic gestures and doctrine within the New Order, which slowly, but surely, changed the minds and the faith if Catholics. I try to write to my brothers and sisters, and my wife's, too, and even quote a lot from your web site, but I never get one response from anyone -- just dead silence. It is like as if I do not even exist. Now, what can I do, if anything, to wake up my brothers and sisters on both sides of the family from the black hole of the world and all of its errors?

Fr. Moderator Replies.

Yours is a common story. It is like trying to tell a child that Santa Claus is a myth. The child doesn't want to believe it and so doesn't hear you. If he did believe you, he fears that he might risk the benefits he gets. These Novus Ordinarians often act like such children. It is very hard for them to give up their convenience and ease. To take a position on principle would be very difficult and would set them apart. Some people just don't naturally have the courage for such a thing. They must pray for grace.

It is easier for them to go along with the evil, as long as everyone else around them is going along too. Misery loves company, as the saying goes. Moreover, they have been heavily propagandized by the Novus Ordo apparatus, whose true colors (which some of us knew from the beginning) are only now becoming too evident for anyone to deny.

The Novus Ordo bishops, as the U.S. Catholic Bishops Conference's own Chief Investigator put it, are no better than racketeers, who rival the Mafia in their conspiracies. The Novus Ordo bishops have used every form of intimidation, deceit, immorality, and thievery to browbeat your poor relatives, and the relatives of many others, into submission to a man-made, Protestant-Masonic, Counterfeit Church, much as Adolf Hitler used every form of intimidation, deceit, immorality, and thievery to browbeat a nation into submission to National Socialism. It's really no different. There is even evidence that in some cases courageous traditional priests have been murdered through the shenanigans of this ilk.

What can you do? Live the best Christian life you can. Let your example shine before others, so that those who are good of heart will be attracted back to the Roman Catholic Faith from their idolatry of the Novus Ordo Post-Modernist heresy. In this time of great trial for the Church, I suspect that many, many souls will be lost.

Yet if those souls follow the abominations of the New Order through their own cowardice and vincible ignorance, that is not something that you are responsible for. Just thank God for the one or two that will have the courage to follow your good example. The Christian religion is ultimately a "selfish" one. Its prime directive is, after God, to love yourself first. Your own salvation is what must be uppermost for you.

Sure, you should help others to get on the right path too, but ultimately you were put on this earth to know, love, and serve God, and to merit your own eternal salvation. Because of the nature of the free will that God has given each of us, we each have to take the responsibility for our own eternal salvation or damnation.

No Hope from New Novus Ordo Cardinals

From: Pat

Dear Fr. Moderator:

I read in the news that JPII had appointed 31 new cardinals. With JPII getting more ill every day, I suspect that a new pope will be elected within a year, and I was wondering whether the newly appointed cardinals might be for the good of the Roman Catholic Church, i.e. more traditional, or will they support those Modernist factions in the Vatican?

Fr. Moderator Replies.

The latter. Of course these people are beholden to the Novus Ordo Counterfeit Church for their very positions.

Let's take an example. Scotland's cardinal designate, on the day after the Vatican's announcement, "called on the Church to remain open to change [that means 'should advocate']: gay clergy, marriage among priests, and artificial contraception." Interestingly, these are topics that are ripping apart the Anglican Church right now. Are we going to see Roman Catholicism preached by the likes of this ilk? Of course not.

The Church has been rent by the Roman Schism of 1964, out of which the Protestant-Masonic New Order has been pushed upon reluctant and objecting Catholics by force. There is nothing Catholic about any of this. Even the present pope, if he had the will (and that is questionable), could not "fix" the Church. He is confused and weak, just like the disciples in the boat (among them Peter), whom Christ rebuked, saying: "O ye of little faith" (Matthew 8:26/DRV). This pope has admitted in his encyclical Ecclesia de Eucharistia that he has been totally incompetent in 25 years' time to stem the abuse of the Novus Ordo.

No, this is a situation in the Church that only God can fix. As He fixed the Arian heresy by sending the Church bishops the likes of St. Athanasius, St. Basil, St. Martin, and St. Augustine. As He fixed the Church from the Protestant Revolt by sending Pope St. Pius V. As He fixed the Church from the Modernist Heresy by sending Pope St. Pius X.

We cannot be faithless. What we are called upon to do is to stand with the true Roman Catholic Faith against the Novus Ordo Counterfeit Sect. God will do the rest, in His own season. Of that, we can be sure, as He has promised it.

Novus Ordo Abuses to Stay

From: Fr. Moderator

Remember all that talk about correcting the "abuses" of the Novus Ordo after the pope issued Ecclesia de Eucharistia? Remember all that talk about a "universal indult," as if that would be any good, or even necessary? TRADITIO discounted those reports from the beginning. And now we have the proof.

Catholic News Service reports that the New Vatican is rewriting the draft of the instruction that is supposed to correct the Novus Ordo "abuses" (fat chance!), so that it will be less detailed than the draft circulated in June. Gone is the prohibition against "altar girls." Gone is the ban against allowing Protestant ministers to bless the congregation at the end of a Novus Ordo Mess.

In other words, the New Vatican has no guts. It can't even control its counterfeit Novus Ordo service, let alone get back to the Roman Catholic Mass, the Traditional Latin Mass. Some bishops wouldn't give up their altar girls and their Protestant Co-Ministers, so the New Vatican says, "Okay, do whatever you want." Why the "conservative" Novus Ordinarians look to the New Vatican for any authority to correct anything is beyond me. It has proven time and time again that, in the words of St. Thomas More, "it hath not the competency."

Would Pope St. Pius V have given into these petty potentates? Of course not. Would Pope St. Pius X have given into these petty potentates? Of course not. The pope is not in charge of the Vatican and hasn't been since the Roman Schism of 1964. The asylum is in the control of the cookoos.

Texas Pastor Goes Traditional -- Update VIII

From: Fr. Moderator

TRADITIO's analysis has hit the nail on the head again. While "conservative" periodicals were praising Houston Novus Ordo Bishop Joseph Fiorenza and while even some SSPX priests there were giving him liquor and chocolates, it has become clear that this wily bishop was perpetrating a ruse simply to get Fr. Zigrang to resign in writing, thus giving up all his appeal rights and his longterm benefits.

Now the other shoe has dropped. Fiorenza was described by these short-sighted people as "warming up" to the traditional position. How often do these "conservatives" have to be hit upside the head by these Novus Ordo bishops before they learn their lesson? They're like stupid children who constantly put their hand in the fire, never learning that fire burns!

Fiorenza (who, by the way, in other matters is supporting the "gay" agenda) has issued a bulletin on the front page of the diocesan rag demanding "the unambiguous acceptance of the legitimacy and doctrinal correctness of the Novus Ordo Mass [sic]." Of course, we know that the Novus Ordo Mess has no legitimacy or doctrinal correctness, so the only way that the New Order Counterfeit Church can enforce it is not through justice, but by force. Isn't Fiorenza in schism from Roman Catholicism at this point? Why anyone "kisses up" to the man, including the SSPX (which should now have learned its lesson), is beyond me.

Houston is one of the largest metropolitan areas in the United States, yet there is one, count it, one "indult" Mass in the entire area, hidden away at the early hour of 8 a.m. Fortunately, in place of Fiorenza's counterfeit Novus Ordo Messes, the real Catholics of Houston have the Roman Catholic Mass, Sacraments, and Faith available to them at an independent site and an SSPX site. And doesn't that frost Fiorenza! If prior experience is any indication, Fiorenza's desperate attempt to suppress Roman Catholicism in his diocese will actually publicize its availability, and more Novus Ordo sectarians will revert to the Roman Catholic Faith.

Should We Heed the "End Times" Mania?

From: Gary

Dear Fr. Moderator:

What should the faithful Catholic's approach be to things like the mark of the beast, Fatima, the Second Coming, and all the things swirling around in our age about the "end times"?

Fr. Moderator Replies.

Let's to God Himself for an answer to your question. Our Lord very clearly warned against obsessions with "end times." He told his Apostles, who asked him about such things: "But about that day or that hour no man knoweth, not even the angels in heaven, not yet the son, but only the father" (Mark 13:32/DRV). (As the Son of God, Our Lord knew, but as the Son of Man, the Messias, He was not commissioned to reveal it to men.)

The epitome of the Church teaching on this topic is that one's own particular judgment will undoubtedly come before the general judgment of the world. Best to concentrate on our own eternal life, rather than go off into flights of speculation about "end times," which can rather end up taking us farther from God.

Novus Ordo Church: The Church of Hate

From: Luis

Dear Fr. Moderator:

My son, a 12 year old traditional Catholic, recently went with some friends to a Novus Ordo service, without my knowledge and approval. He was spending the night at a friend's house, and they decided to go to "mess" last Sunday. To make a long story short, my son let me know what he had done and apologized. He said that the service was not only "boring," but was shocked when the presbyter refused to give him a blessing after the "mess."

What can possibly be wrong in giving a kid a blessing? We attend a traditional church were a bishop blesses anyone who asks for it. What is wrong with these people? Thank God my son knows better, but can you imagine the psychological, spiritual, and emotional damage this type of behavior can cause many young souls? This can only be intentional and evil.

I hope that more Catholics follow return to their senses and heed your warnings against attending the Protestant-Masonic Novus Ordo services. My family and I humbly ask for your guidance.

Fr. Moderator Replies.

This is all part of the "Great Facade" of the Novus Ordo Church. It poses as a "Church of Love." Oh, it is certainly that if you are homosexual, a fornicator, a divorcee, a Protestant, a Mohammedan, or a Jew. If you are a true Catholic, however, the New Order hates you, reviles you, calumniates you. These hateful people are so guilty for having abandoned Christ's true faith that they in their duplicity must lash out at the only thing that is good, true, and beautiful: the true Roman Catholic Faith.

My advice would be to use this as a teaching opportunity for your son. Teach him about what it means to stand up for the true faith, for his own integrity as a nascent man. Teach him about the courage of the Holy Martyrs. Have him read the lives of Saints like Athanasius, Martin, Basil, and Augustine who suffered for not retreating one jot from the true Faith. All they teach in the schools now is "tolerance" (in their lingo meaning "acceptance") of evil. You should teach your son the courage to stand up against evil. This incident gives you that timely opportunity. When he knows the truth and himself, there should be no "damage" from such an incident; rather, it should strengthen him.

Novus Ordo Deacon Wigs Out in front of Congregation

From: Will

Dear Fr. Moderator:

This past Saturday I attended a Novus Ordo service (my family wanted to fulfill its Sunday obligation before heading out to dinner) and was completely floored when the deacon giving the "homily" lost his mind before our very eyes.

The deacon (a friend of my family) told the congregation that we should not be judgmental of our Protestant brothers and sisters. He pointed out that there is a movement, though not a new one, in the Church of Catholic "vigilantes" (yes, he used this word!) who want, for instance, to bring back the Traditional Latin Mass. He went on to say that this is an arrogant and narrow-minded group and that if we Catholics ever think we have all the answers, we will one day be surprised. The implication here is that he holds to the heresy that the Catholic Church does not have the complete Deposit of Faith. Incidentally, this deacon knew that his "homily" would offend me. He shared this with my in-laws.

I was stunned to hear such garbage. Here was an "ordained" deacon assaulting (and insulting) Catholics who are loyal to Sacred Tradition and elevating heretics! Surely, Christ did not say that we should defend, advance, or otherwise accept the religion of heretics.

Fr. Moderator Replies.

Next time your family wants to go to the Protestant-Masonic Novus Ordo service, tell them such an unCatholic service cannot possibly fulfil any "obligation" to God, most certainly on the Jewish Sabbath (Saturday) instead of the Christian Sunday. Tell them that if they wish to go, you will meet them at the restaurant afterwards. The best response to the Novus Ordo is to cut it off entirely, just as you would amputate a limb that is diseased. Don't give this Novus Ordo ilk an audience. They wouldn't know what is Catholic even if it were the Second Coming!

Novus Ordo Church Turns Jewish for Rosh Hashana

From: Fr. Moderator

The "conservative" Novus Ordo sectarians don't believe me when I tell them that the Novus Ordo sect is not Catholic. But here is more proof.

Reports have been received from Indiana and North Carolina that Novus Ordo Churches are being opened for Jewish worship during the High Holydays. As a "mark of respect" for the Jews, these churches are covering and hiding all the Catholic furnishings in the church building.

I wonder whether the Jewish synagogue in town is going to remove the Torah so that Novus Ordo sectarians can worship in Temple. Ha!

Catholic Schools Preach Hate

From: Brian

Dear Fr. Moderator:

I go to a Novus Ordo Jesuit College Preparatory School in San X., California. All freshmen have to take a course titled "Understanding Catholic Christianity and Other Faith Traditions." My teacher, Mr. M, told us the following in class today (I promise, I have not altered a single word):

Mr. M: Now, class, take out your notebooks, we are going to study Post Vatican II theology.
Class: Huh? What's Vatican II?
Mr. M: Copy what I am writing on the board.

[Written on whiteboard]:
Pre-Vatican II Theology

   1. God is distant. He is not our friend.
   2. Priests say Eucharist in Latin so people can't understand it.
   3. Jesus is God, who has no real human emotions.
   4. Jesus' death on the cross was a sacrifice.
   5. Adam and Eve made God angry.
   6. Because of #5, God sends us to hell for our "sins" [quotations his].
   7. Faith can never change.
   8. You have to be perfect.
   9. Priests invented "Purgatory" and "Limbo" to scare people.

Post-Vatican II Theology
[# correspond to Pre-VII Theology]

   1. God is our friend. He isn't vengeful.
   2. Priests share the Liturgy with the people. They are equal.
   3. Jesus was a man.
   4. Jesus' death on the cross was an act of love for us because he is our friend. NOT A SACRIFICE! [Capitalization his]
   5. Adam and Eve were best friends of God who sometimes made him sad.
   6. There is no hell. Everyone goes to heaven.
   7. We should be like John XXIII, who was open to everything.
   8. We are God's best friends.
   9. See # 6.

Mr. M: Okay, men, quiet down. Test on this Monday! Study hard! [Looking at me:] Remember, this test is on my lecture, not on your own opinion. Service club members, meet me after class. Goodbye!
Class [once outside of door]: Those old people were [various blasphemies and curses].

Well, Father, now I know exactly where the "New Church" stands. I still can't believe some of the lies he wrote on the board. The Modernists of the New Order simply aren't Catholic!

Fr. Moderator Replies.

The Novus Ordinarians don't want to believe me when I say these things. Perhaps they will believe you, who have to sit through this Novus Ordo offal!

Perhaps they will believe Bishop Sheen who wrote that "you are better off going to a state school where you will have the chance to fight for your faith, than going to a modern Catholic" school "where you will have the new watered-down, modernist version of the faith spoon-fed to your unsuspecting minds, so that you will be apt to lose your faith."

The Jesuits, perhaps above all the orders in the Church, have fallen the worst. In 1773 they had so abused their situation in playing politics that finally the pope issued the Brief of Suppression, by which the entire Jesuit order was suppressed throughout Christendom. Portugal, Spain, and France had already expelled them. They were not restored until 1814, over forty years later. In the 1960s they again fell off the wagon and literally took up arms to fight with the Latin American communists under the banner of the condemned Liberation Theology. Pope Paul VI rebuked them for their faithlessness to their oath to the pope.

My advice to you, Brian, is to follow Bishop Sheen's advice and get out of that corrupt Novus Ordo cesspool. Your Roman Catholic Faith is being compromised by hateful, deceitful, modernist pinheads that St. Ignatius Loyola, founder of the Jesuits, would be the first to condemn.
